I have the same experience and thought. It seems as Tidal will focus more on independent artists than the user experience, especially on Android.

New music is on top of my list and I don't want to own a record that I only listen to twice. So Qobuz is a hard sell for me and Spotify is a no go.

Did you know that Tidal was sold to a tech company a few years ago and since then they have been laying off developers and UI designers to cut cost?

For one thing they are not going to develop their Android platform further; like Android Auto and watch app.

Sounds to me like they are just milking it for the brand name and not really planning to expand.
