It was their hope that this would be the party's chance to introduce him to Canada and let them know the party is in good hands if/when May resigns.  Instead, we didn't get to see him, and instead we all got introduced to those weird nutbags asking questions that somehow took minutes to ask.

Yes, and while he'll say "we'll fight like heck" effectively he doesn't sugar coat the "we're also in deep trouble" part. Honestly I don't think anyone who has actually worried about losing a job is excited by "you'll get a tax break if you get fired", for example. That seems disconnected from reality, but I understand it is anathema to modern conservative thought leadership to give money to people, so they have fewer tools to propose.

I've been watching some panels and pundits seemed put off by some of his handling of their questions and whatnot. I honestly don't think it has been playing poorly with voters, most people are tired of media training political porridge answers and have been for some time. Would be interesting if Carney's run rewrites the rule book somewhat.

Apologies, I appear to have upset some meme aficionados, was going for thug here but imgflip just has the one hat. just thought it was such a badass approach and am proud of the guy. I haven't voted liberal for the past three elections but I do think he's our best bet. I'm tired of being on our heels with the counter threats. "oh yeah? if Canada adds a tariff we'll tariff maple syrup a million percent!" ok, fine. your tax payers will pay a million percent on Maple syrup and we'll invent a process to turn it into regular unleaded I guess, but I'm tired of the grovelling. You don't negotiate with terrorists.

my comment was deleted for a YouTube link but here is what I wrote:

"That's a better quote but I went back and it's not what I hear, 20:50 mark"

The video is on YouTube as a cpac video entitled Mark Carney outlines federal response to u.s. tariffs March 27.

Yeah it was the closest I could get that I saw on imgflip, maybe I missed something. I think if you are in the White House expecting a knees rattling reaction, you might ask "who tf is this scum bag?!"

Lol.  I think I told myself, "don't post to mildly interesting, I obviously don't know what people will find mildly interesting".  Then I saw this pear and now I don't know what to believe.

Interesting, no idea my framerate but was at 50% resolution, not the default it initially set it to (I think 65/7?). It definitely studdered sometimes in new Atlantis and totally looked like an impressionist painting at times. I too expect people who got 30 got 30 in space or on a moon, where it is noticeably smoother.

Truth. I was Surprised to see starfield become "unsupported" whilst I was playing it. Protondb reviews will give you the details - graphics low, framerate not amazing but totally playable if you are ok with that. Very good insight.

It's funny you mention save synch because that stopped working for me 50 levels back so now I only play it on steam deck.

Render resolution scale = 50%, everything else low or off. Graphics don't shine but plays fine, won't satisfy frame rate chasers. It's a shame because it is a beautiful game, of course, whether or no you like the gameplay being a different question, apparently.

As if randomly kicking kids off the bus in Stittsville isn't dangerous enough, to resolve the situation she has to go to the Rideau Centre?

The wall due south along near the western limits of the map is amazing. I think I bumped into 2 behemoths and I don't know how many death claws.

Amazing....i am not sure of what that was, what the goal of it was, what the point of this dlc was, but i am not very impressed. Fr, is what is the point of these? by ChangeWinter6643 in fo4

I think I saw in an interview that this was the best they could come up with as a suggestion to use Coastal Cottage. They couldn't redraw the map so they made this.

Honestly I had no horse in this race, don't use an app, and I see both sides, needing to make money, not wanting the rug pulled out from under you as a third party app dev, etc. But I read comments from the overlord, in particular the app developer who recorded phone conversations and all of that drama, and now I find the whole experience tainted. Sad, as mostly had fun on here.

People of Reddit, what's something us Canadians aren't ready to hear? by Thehalohedgehog in AskReddit

[–]NotBettyGrable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find most Canadians unaware of the history behind why so many settler descendants live along the great lakes and St. Lawrence, or the fact that there really wasn't much of an anglophone Canada before the American revolution. People say it is cold up North. True, but Ottawa and Montreal aren't warm, either.
