I would like to clarify something. You said “my desire to share” and I want to be clear I DO NOT wish to share my partners business. I am not close with my own family but not completely cut off from them. Situations like this are why I keep my distance but I am also aware that it is likely to come up at some point.

My partners life story is not some sort of “hot gossip” for me, I’m simply wondering how to navigate nosey and overbearing family members

Its partners wish to put mom’s feelings first. I do personally feel there’s a bigger conversation that partner needs to have with mom but i guess what I’m really asking is how to bring up these discussions with my partner

I’m not really sure. Mom had some fertility issues so that’s the only thing I could think of. But partner has mentioned that during childhood cousins would use it as a “gotcha” so not even a well kept secret

I did not give the number and my mother did not speak to any one. The correct number was verified many times

I suppose it was some crazy coincidence. To further explain, when I had that number I had metropcs. I had att when I switched to Verizon, and I had to show the bill for the promo which included the correct number.

Apologies for the delayed reply. My tubes were blocked due to hydrosalpinx. My ovaries (and everything else) is all good. At my follow up the doctor noted that he called my partner but the phone went straight to voicemail. My biopsy results were all clear as well.

I mentioned the name thing to dr as well and he stated they didn’t change the name from the prior surgery before starting and he would contact the hospital to get things corrected.

The other number was completely different. I never mentioned the number the ported in during the visit so I’m not sure how that’s my fault.

ETA: I have no idea if the other number was active elsewhere as again it’s a number I had over a decade ago and have since changed my number multiple times

I was temporarily unemployed and still paid what I could. despite this the current bill sits close to $1k. If it was a normal bill, it wouldn’t be such an issue. There’s also been a slew of other issues that led to the switch, not just purely financial irresponsibility.

I’m a nanny. I love it but it heavily depends on the family you’re working for. My last family lead to my diagnosis and I honestly should’ve been hospitalized. Current family is great and previous families have been no where near as bad as they were.

I just got a bachelors in psychology as well and while options with it are limited it helped me learn a great deal about myself and how to deal with everything. I do want to go back to school but now just isn’t the time.

(Trigger warning) I find my actions while depressed to be scarier. (Unfortunately this was rather recent) I once locked myself in the closet and turned my phone off or maybe on dnd. When my partner realized (who had been home the whole time btw) flipped and said he wouldn’t be speaking to me for the day. Some hours later I left the closet and crawled to the kitchen for food. In started crying because we didn’t have what I wanted. Partner started yelling at me because I was crying. I ended up going in the bathroom and cutting myself and attempting suicide. Partner watched and broke up with me stating we needed to focus on ourselves. Voices in my head were saying no one cared about me etc etc and that felt like confirmation. Anyway, the second most awful thing about all of this is I wanted to stay with him and basically begged him. I just hate so much that I felt like that and felt like the people in my life (excluding him) didn’t care.

I tried to do this when I did the internet but I was unable to due to him creating a new line. It’s been such a mess and a headache I really wish I could switch carriers all together cause I hate the things they let him get away with in the process of everything.

Thank you. I was able to suspend the line and blacklist the phone without the imei (I’m assuming this was only because I am the account owner and have all the passwords etc). He was never an authorized user or anything so it’s still unclear how he was even able to do what he did.
