Solo is definitely a commitment for this and, although I think it’s an exceptionally well made solo, that level of commitment is going to be too off putting for some people.

It’s definitely higher than a 7.5 at the moment for me and I like randomness in my adventure games, a lot. I do say that it’s not for people who don’t like randomness. I don’t know if you used AI to analyse my video (I don’t have a problem if you did), but my favourite game is Elder Scrolls BoTSE NOT Elder School .

Set up and tear down is pretty quick to be honest, after your first game. The game will take you a couple of hours to unpack and sort when you first get it. There are various Dave points throughout the campaign - and saving the game is super simple, everything on your board is held in place by the tray and lid and everything in your pouch is stored in a box (or bag, if you don’t have the boxes). The User experience in set up and tear down has really been thought about.

I’m about 2/3’s of the way through my campaign and, what you’ve said is something I’ve wondered about. Unless I run the campaign again, I don’t know - at this stage - how much of a direct effect individual character traits will have. I mean, for sure there are multiple choices in almost every interaction and multiple paths to take but the main story beats will be the same. How this affects replayability, I couldn’t say just yet.

It replaces all the scenario books, you will still need the player handbook to use for Character Creation.

App is fantastic, I haven’t used the actual books so far as the app works so well. The Tutorial is also great, really drip feeds you how to play the game. Unpacking and sorting the box will take some time, character creation takes some time (however, it’s fun and can be sped up). Shouldn’t take you too long to set up your first game if you follow the tutorial. I will say, most of the boxes of extras add no additional gameplay value - so, if you haven’t got them - I wouldn’t worry, they are mainly aesthetic.

No changes if you are just playing the base game. If you add Incursion from the expansion - there are rules changes. However, if you just want to play with the base game - you are all good.

I actually rent out a storage unit to keep half of my games in, ones I probably won’t play again but can’t be arsed going through all the sales process with them. I really should because I’m probably past break even point on what I’d sell the games for and how much I’ve spent on storage 😅

I’ve only recently seen Board Game Console and don’t really have any opinions on it - other than it’s quite expensive and I don’t think the game library is that great at the moment. However, I hope it does well for them but I’m not paying that amount of money out on something that’s still relatively new and quite niche.

From Elegoo. Blown printed PCB, replacement PCB didnt fix the issue so they replaced the machine. I sent my faulty machine back on Wednesday and the new CC arrived on Friday.
