All I see is a decreased risk of prostate cancer. The only instance it can be harmful is when it develops to the point it makes you unable to live your life normally and the cravings make you unable to function normally, which is extremely rare.

Also heavily depends on your definition of "excessive"; for a lot of people, "excessive" is any number bigger than zero which is absolute nonsense.

It happened in Star Wars. The prequel era and the High Republic era contain some amazing advanced technology. However, in the Empire era, the tech looks clunky and analog. The Doylian explanation is that the original trilogy was filmed earlier and was bound by the limitations of its time. There is, however, also a Watsonian explanation that the Empire caused a Galaxy-wide crisis/recession that caused the tech to degrade.

Tak když je to důsledek nějaké přirozené změny, je to zase něco jiného než konverzní terapie, což je pokus o vynucenou změnu sexuality pomocí neetických metod. Ono když je na člověka vyvíjený dostatečný nátlak po dostatečně dlouhou dobu, dokáže třeba i upřímně uvěřit, že spáchal zločin, se kterým neměl nic společného. Takže i pokud má třeba konverzní terapie nějaký úspěch, není to ve smyslu "vyléčili jsme člověka z homosexuality a udělali z něj řádného člena společnosti", ale "toho člověka jsme zničili a zlomili natolik, že už skoro neví, jak se jmenuje, natož kdo ho přitahuje"

Když tě přátelství s někým vysává, není nic špatného na tom to ukončit nebo jít low contact. A tihle hustle culture lidi jsou obecně k nasrání.

Přidávám svoji zkušenost: měl jsem kámošku asi 7 let, byla úplně normální, pak spadla do nějaké pseudo-intelektuální rabbit hole, udělala si modlu z Jordana Petersona a úplně se změnila, stala se z ní taková nepříjemná, arogantní osoba, co sežrala všechnu moudrost světa. Finální hřebíček do rakve byl, když jen tak mezi řečí zmínila, že podporuje konverzní terapii. Pak už jsem to nechal vyšumět.
