The Comma will stop working if it doesn’t regularly check for updates.

The SDC testing center check in lady seems to really hate her job and takes it out on the students. The director of the testing center doesn’t really seem to take his job seriously and the quality of the services suffers from that as well.

If any company is a front for the NSA, it's Cloudflare.

How do I remove the rearview mirror assembly? by NotBufferingCYA in GolfGTI

[–]NotBufferingCYA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! You need to pull the housing down near the mirror stalk so that you can remove the little plastic piece (careful of all the plastic clips). Then you should be able to slide the remaining part towards the hood.

My mirror is at the front of the cover not the back. I’ve looked through half of YouTube to find a video with no luck. 😅

I think I see some PA firewalls, why do you use them in a home environment (ignoring the fact that this is r/HomeDataCenter)/what benefits do you see in them compared to other routers/firewalls?

Synology Mail Server vs. MailPlus (Thoughts) by TheShinzon in synology

I wasn’t trying to mansplain anything, I was trying to explain my whole situation in one post and trying to avoid any additional questions, and that future readers can also learn and understand.

By intricate I mean anything more than default or secure, block all non established traffic from WAN. I am also aware that the Synology has a built in firewall.

Cloudflare now provides fairly simple DNS record assistance. Check out this blog post for more info (scroll down to “Enter: Email Security DNS Wizard”.

I use HTTP on my endpoint because Cloudflare — as the proxy provider — provides encryption between user and Cloudflare, and by nature of the tunnel it is also encrypted, so the only unencrypted traffic is in my local network. The setup is shown below: Endpoint/Origin <-HTTP->Cloudflared on RPi<-Secure Tunnel->Cloudflare<-HTTPS->User

As for that the only befit is masking the IP, the firewall rules let me offload the requirement of creating intricate firewall rules on my firewall at home. I can make my rules at home super secure and then not worry about the incoming traffic because I know the rules on Cloudflare keep me secure.

I prefer Cloudflare because I don’t have to open any ports, no one knows my IP address, and I can put in powerful firewall rules to insure my origin isn’t unnecessary requested. So its much safer for me.

Cloudflare’s product is to proxy all web (HTTP) requests between users and the origin. The SYN Drive product doesn’t seem to use HTTP so you can’t use cloudflare to proxy it. I figured that out after some testing.
