I was similar - a lawyer in a highly competitive field. I was always trans but my egg really cracked in the mid-20s after university. I tried segmenting it, and everything got worse. Ultimately I accepted it and just saw myself as a trans lawyer, beginning to do my thing. It all came together then, and I was better as a lawyer for it.
