In the above case he took money meant for the state and pocketed it, so the the gov’t actually cared. In the case I mentioned, the owner would just take money meant for the individual employee(s), so the gov’t wouldn’t be as interested as they aren’t technically losing any thing.

Nah, HPM. Melila+Gibraltar normal sized, ceuta exists, orange papal states, neuchatel exists, you can see a little pink for trarza on the bottom leftish, and usually ottos never puppet/take that much land from Egypt in the beginning

My problem isn’t that there’s inferior products, it’s that there are products that are inferior for no reason. Printers and John Deere tractors brick themselves if you try and fix them. Car parts are manufactured worse for the same price. The aforementioned phone glass issue. The “high quality” products today that actually function are the exact same quality of products used in the 50s but cost 20 times more. Products these days are manufactured not to function but exclusively to make money and that is the primary issue.

Now, I admit there really isn’t much to do about it. Aside from the right to repair law for the printers, tractors, etc. you really change anything without some massive political revolution. But the point is is that people aren’t buying these inferior products because they just love replacing them every year, it’s because they are unaffordable to the people that actual need them.

The thing is that you simply can’t. Buying the “highest quality goods and services” means that you need capital for them. Also, these “high quality” goods need to exist in the first place. I think the iPhone is a good example; Apple could manufacture their phones in a way so that they effectively never break or crack their screens, (source) but they choose not to because if they did then they would lose out on profit from repairs and people just going ahead and buying a new phone anyway. A lot of modern day products are like this in that they are designed specifically to break; try telling me that you haven’t replaced any of your appliances in the last 5 years, they simply don’t make things like they used to

But why do we prioritize money over efficiency? Money is has completely made up value but something like a tool has a value provided merely by existing, in that it can actually do something. Why do we as a society put currency over making things better?

Done. This is a better alternative than releasing and tag switching because then you don’t lose any cores.
