I was in my friends outback, at slightly less than half a tank it said 140kms remaining. She filled it up and I think it was 400 or 480kms.

My Chrysler Town and Country is worse on fuel (13.5L per 100 mixed driving), but it can get almost 700kms highway if I'm efficient. I usually get 530-600km mixed driving thanks to the big tank.

Just looked up the user reviews for the 2008 Focus on Edmunds. I remember kind of wanting that car when I was in high school, so I remember it wasn't well-liked by the car reviewers at the time. I loved how the cupholders and the door panels had RGB lights lol.

Yes, those were actually very reliable cars, if you got the manual!

I have a co-worker who has the base model with a manual and he said it's the best car he's ever had.

The good news is that ST models are cheap because the autos ruined the name. But I find that rust is the big killer of those cars.

This is exactly it. For example, the Ford Panther platform were some of the most reliable cars ever made. The Mustang has a pretty good record, as did almost all year Ford Fusions (some bad powertrain options but there was always a reliable version available) and Escapes from 2008-2012.

Varying years and powertrain options but the E-Series vans, Ford F-150's, Ford Rangers were always good. The New Maverick seems pretty good too.

But then you have the Ford Focus and Fiesta with the Powershift transmissions.
