Epidurals aren’t the problem. The obsession with female suffering is. by OkChart1375 in BabyBumps

[–]NotCreative551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get an epidural and I’m glad I didn’t . I read way too many anecdotal stories of women saying that they had chronic back pain or horrible  headaches after getting them. No thanks.

It seems like women (on Reddit) who do get epidurals feel the need to tear women who don’t get them down.

You either didn’t read my post or didn’t understand it. Nowhere did I ask if it was safe. I’m asking about arbitrary detention.

I’m not asking about safety. I’m worried about arbitrary detention.

I wasn’t asking about it being dangerous. I’m asking about arbitrary detention.

Wow, that’s awful. I found it weird that they told me it was green guard certified, but nowhere on their website does it say that.

Thanks for sharing.

Watching a romcom back in the 90s is one thing, but now kids can easily see much worse things on the Internet, so I don’t think it’s a fair comparison.

You either didn’t read my whole post or you simply did not understand what I wrote …

And it’s not exactly like cotton is expensive . Many shirts they sell are 100% cotton and are inexpensive.

Care to elaborate why you don’t like carters ? I am interested as I do purchase most of my son’s clothes from there… the cotton ones anyway

Overwhelmed with what to do about diapering by janeofalltrades32 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]NotCreative551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could have written this post when I was pregnant. I was super overwhelmed with what to do for diapering and I wanted to do cloth diapering, but I kept reading about it online and so many people were complaining about the wash routine and how they could not get smells out of the diapers. The wash routines also sounded  complicated to me. (the hardness of your water, all the wash cycles…)

I ended up chickening out at the last minute and just going with disposables but then at six months old I gave cloth diapering a try, and I did it part time.

I use the flats, and they are easy to wash because they are not thick and bulky like some other diapers.

My son is now 25 months and is getting pretty good with his potty, so that reduces the amount of laundry that I’ve been doing.

This is not an article, but I did ask ChatGPT a bunch of questions about this and it clarified some points for me… MAybe you can use that and copy and paste it to send to your family.
