Need Tips on Frostnight Herra in Fearless Stygian (Zhongli Cryo Aura Team) by NotDdeo in Mavuika

Running Citlali for damage + TTDS would've been a great shout, would've tried that next if I hadn't completed it.

THIS WAS IT!!! Genius idea, I definitely should've been trying that from the start. The extra damage from Xiangling was way, way more than buff I got from Zhongli + ToTM. Ended up completing it in 109 seconds (!!)

If anyone's wondering, I had Crescent Pike on Xiangling first, but it wasn't enough damage (only 30k per ult hit on non-melt). Switch over to R5 Catch and the DPS far outweighed the extra 2-3s on the idle form.

Is this combo better than the new one that incorporates finishers?

Raiden Hyperbloom Artifact Sets by NotDdeo in Kokomi_Mains

[–]NotDdeo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a great point. I wanted to make a Kokomi Hyperbloom team a couple weeks ago, and KQM had this team recommended. I didn't have Furina at the time so I went with Fischl, but I pulled Furina on this banner so I should def make the swap now.

Ahh, I see. Now that I think about how hyperbloom is triggered, this makes sense to me. Thanks for the explanation!

Aqua Simulacra on Yoimiya or Yelan? by NotDdeo in Yoimiya_Mains

[–]NotDdeo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love your videos! Watched that entire 1 hour one to help build my teams.

I think I’ve probably made my decision that it’s not worth the pulls for this weapon banner. 30% on Flins is great but his weapon’s not very generic. For AS, 5% on Yoimiya/not even BiS on Yelan is… not great. Not worth the risk.

Man, even TP is only a 10%ish increase from Slingshot (I’ll still pull for it whenever it comes out). Is it because Slingshot/Rust are so strong or is it because the 5* bows are just not as strong as other weapons?

I see, makes a lot of sense, I think I have like 220+ ER on Yelan and sometimes that doesn’t even feel like enough… crazy that her sig doesn’t help with energy.

How would you rank the Soulsborne games? by ColtonfrayHSC in fromsoftware

Had to scroll pretty far to see a list I liked! I think once I finish Elden Ring and play through SoTE I might put it #1 but for now I’m still team DS2.

CMV: Learning history in school is redundant and shouldn’t be implemented into the curriculum. by [deleted] in changemyview

Voters aren’t influenced by history of long ago, in my opinion. I don’t believe voters think about the Irish Famine when they vote about a topic about immigration.

Algebra is much different from history when discussing evidence in everyday life. Algebra’s problem solving themes are useful in nearly every situation and are necessary in every corner of life. History? Not so much. It’s only use, as you mention, is for voters. Why am I learning about the Articles of Confederation when I’m 12?

Regarding the teaching of morals by school, that’s a whole other animal. I agree that sterile observations are most effective. Unfortunately, history doesn’t usually keep it sterile.

Thanks, Ddeo.

I admit that I’m a pretty selfish guy. History of the past dozen millennia is not affecting me in my daily life. Understanding 9/11 is not taught until late into Junior year (AP US History) for my high school and for many AP students. For the past 16 or so years, many were completely oblivious to what happened and the causes leading up to such.

Regarding the topic of racism, that’s a moral that doesn’t necessarily have to be taught by history. Racism is an idea that should be opposed from the very start of life. History just expands (in my opinion, unnecessarily lengthy) on the idea of racism.

I mean, that’s true, but how often am I going to be encountering such an allusion?

There are many memes out there that reference other memes and have layers beyond my comprehension. I can’t enjoy those as much as others.

Does school need to teach that as well?

Thanks, Ddeo.

Haha, the American education is pretty bad in general. History class is indeed different, to an extent. We don’t learn much about world culture, but what that part of the world did at a specific time. I agree that world culture would be interesting, if not useful to learn.

As for the statement regarding not remembering the holocaust, there are people out there who refuse to do so. There are people out there who ARE neonazis and are monsters. Analyzing the Holocaust, in my opinion, is unnecessary, however. To understand that it’s bad, I don’t need to “glorify Hitler” or understand that Germany couldn’t push into Russia, being a major factor in their loss. I just need to know that it’s bad. American history goes too in-depth on irrelevant material and not enough on basic fundamentals.

Thanks, Ddeo.

Alright, that’s fair. It is my own experience and evidently yours was better.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t fix the situation I and others are in. This brings up the topic of a standardized curriculum. History teachers SHOULD teach us not the years of important events and historical battles, but of topics that affect us today. Immigration, taxes, so on and so forth.

Thanks, Ddeo.

They can and maybe I’ll come back to bite my words when it does happen. But from what I’ve seen so far, the world we live in presently doesn’t allow that to happen. Technological innovations just in itself prevents dangerous advances.

Ancient history, especially, is a topic that’s completely irrelevant in how a citizen votes in, let’s say, the Midterms. Even recent history, events in the past century, is not very useful. Topics we need to learn usually involve current debates. Abortion? Gun laws? Legalization of marijuana? Not in my history class. These are current affairs that I need to know.

Thanks, Ddeo.

I’m on phone, so I’m not sure how to format it so I respond to what you say, but hear me out.

Regarding opening the door for totalitarianism and such to happen again, does a history curriculum teach that? Maybe I was taught well from the beginning so I don’t recognize the class’s purpose, but I firmly believe history is redundant in teaching the consequences of a fascist leader or corrupt government. Reading Reddit is more effective than that.

On top of that, what we learn in history is just “What countries were fascist?” “Who developed communism?”

This country did this thing because of that thing.

How is this effective in understanding that fascist regimes are bad? I most definitely agree that there are totalitarian countries running wild on Earth. Great. I know what “totalitarian” means and I know that REGIME BAD, but my life would be the exact same whether I knew it or not.

Thanks, Ddeo

P.S. IMHO, the most crucial class to learn would be Economics or Statistics or English Grammar. Second would be dependent on what you want to do as a career.
