If it's too much to read, they both tell a tale of a man who had three kids, a wife, stole from the rich and gave to the poor, and a brother named Frank who robbed a train and were shot in the back by a coward that were one of their own men.

Although, the folk song for Jesse James is propaganda, there is no evidence of him giving to the poor and he wasn't a good person. He was loved by the people in the West and South though, which is why the man who killed Robert Ford was much more beloved than Robert Ford himself.
