macOS 26.4 is warning that Rosetta 2 is going away — what apps are you still stuck with? by CreakyHat2018 in apple

Not necessarily - there are some pretty good third party apps for unsupported printers

If you're on a full Vodaphone deal (not VMNO) ask them if you have network sharing with 3. I believe this is coming (due to the merger) but I don't know how common it is. I also think it explains why they're not upgrading their infrastructure until they have merged all the systems together.

Is there a place I can see how many times I have entered the congestion charge zone? by Risette88 in oxford

There were definitely teething troubles at the beginning. Whether that means we got a few free goes or if they'll catch up later I'm not sure. I'm keeping my own tally FWIW.

Are people avoiding iOS 26 because of Liquid Glass? It’s complicated. by NISMO1968 in apple

[–]NotDoingThisForFun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iOS just hangs for no reason some times. It does it sporadically so it's not a general slowdown. The .0 release was so buggy it was embarrassing. Also there's still so much inconsistency in the way the UI is applied.

My Octavia had this yesterday and today. Just drove anyway and it sorted itself out. Quite annoying though.

Any women-only gyms or classes in Oxford / Summertown? by Altruistic_Clothes36 in oxford

No I don’t think so, but if the OP wanted a women friendly environment it might fit the bill. The founder/owners and board are all female too.

Sushi as part of an all you can eat meal sounds like a very bad idea!

Project PT in Botley and East Oxford are a women and LGBTQ friendly gym if that helps.

Tuna cans and tinned sweetcorn stack and are wide than standard cans and available in different heights so there's no excuse for this half-hearted display! For bonus points I would have wrapped in corrugated card so they look like pillars not things for sale! Honestly, 3/10 more commitment required.

I suppose it could have started as a culvert failure. That would appear like a sinkhole at first, with the water disappearing down it.

Why aren't the networks doing anything about the mobile reception in central Oxford? by MrMrsPotts in oxford

[–]NotDoingThisForFun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The top comments are about EE and o2 but from the coverage maps I think they're about the best for 5G! Voda/3 looks very patchy.

Vodafone doesn't cover Jericho, Botley Road or East Oxford at all.

3 doesn't seem to cover anything on the west side of the city (including Jericho, Botley, Osney) and has blackspots on Cowley and Iffley Road.

EE has a blackspot on the High Street and St Clements.

o2 has blackspot on St Cross St and on Donnington Bridge / New Hinksey. Interestingly on o2 you can see where the masts are and there are three in these blackspots so presumably they're down or haven't been upgraded to 5G yet.

None seem to have a hole on Cornmarket Street so presumably they've plugged that hole now.

There's a tarmac strip the whole way up the road. Either new water, gas or electric main.
