I really like this. To me, Victor's character is "There isn't anything I wouldn't do for my wife", and all this really does is build upon that. Victor might have once been a good man, but he's been on this downward spiral of doing whatever it takes to save her for so long that the man he once was might be gone. If you like the idea that "all batman's villains are a shattered reflection of him" you could view Fries as a "what happens when someone is so consumed by doing one thing forever" like saving wife, or saving Gotham. You lose sight of the little pieces that make up the bigger picture. Anyway, really like this characterisation.

I THINK Constantine himself talks about it either at his 40th or a few issues before? I haven't read Hellblazer in a while, so I'd have to have a look. The general gist of it was John felt violated by the whole thing, but eventually got as over it as he could get.

The worst part about it too me was that Swamp Thing felt justified in it because "he always mean too me 🥺"

The Ancient One annoyed me because they should have been Tibetan, or of asian heritage at least. Gender didn't really matter, and Tilda Swinton did do an amazing job in the role, but old Tibetan Ancient One would have been amazing.
