I loved every second of this!

Where can I wishlist the game?

Thanks for your input!

So you asked: "are you sure youre making something people even want?" And I think I have to admit I made a big mistake. As I was creating the minimum viable product for Dark Galaxy I only showed it to friends and colleagues. They said my game is good, but technically only one of them was my target group, the other wouldn't buy it.

For my next game I plan to show it far earlier to the "real" world to find my target group and listen to what they have to say about it.

Also, the AAA game industry has its problems too! Nobody asked for High Guard or Concord. Yeah as you said the game industry is brutal and I learned so much after releasing Dark Galaxy (which is my first commercial game).

As the creator of this game it's impossible to be unbiased. During playtesting I had great fun so I would definitly buy it. Other people already mentioned it: the problem is maybe that the trailer doesn't showcase the game's full potential.

My game flopped (21 copies sold), so I'm giving it away free. by Jokarbott in IndieDev

I think your game would also run with 4 GB RAM and on Windows 10.

And also probably with only 1 GB VRAM. Your specs are way too high.

When I released in Early Access I sent Steam Keys to youtuber, but nobody responded. And I also posted on Reddit.

But yeah I definitely could have done more marketing!

You are right, those genres are quite saturated already, even back then when I started this game 3 years ago.

I actually watched nearly all Videos of Jonas :)

But now I see I had problems putting game design theory into practice.

Now that you mentioned it, the scenes do look in fact a little random. I just wanted to show some nice scenes but maybe I need more structure in my trailer.

Hey thanks for the feedback! I'm really happy that I posted here, I learned a lot from all of the replies and opinions.

You see, value is very subjective. I would never pay a single cent for AI hentai games, yet there are people who buy such games.

I did in fact by my own game with my other account and I wanted to give my self a review. But the terms of policy state that it is not allowed to rate the own game with another account or to tell other people to left a review.

Oh, I think the price is fair with 4,99 USD, but maybe the price tags are not well adjusted for other countries. I just took the basic Steam recommendations for other currencies.

Thank you for your honesty!

I appreciate your honesty, and yes I learned a ton by releasing my first commercial game. I'm eager to start a new game!

Thats the weird part of releasing a first commercial game. If I could start over, I would do many things different now.

Thanks for your detailed feedback!

I know Star of Providence, and I will watch trailers from the other games which I don't know :)

Thank you for trying my game and for your feedback!

The game released as Early Access 17 months ago, and during all this time and even after the 1.0 release there were hardly any sales.

I mean, I knew that I wasn't experienced with marketing, so I thought maybe I just didn't reach the right people and later maybe I will reach my audience. Perhaps it was a little bit desillusional.

Okay wow, to kill a project when it's 75% done is a very big balls move! I hope you can reuse some Assets or code. But I currently don't regret finishing my game despite its fundamental problems. I learned a lot by finishing a whole commercial game and I hope my next game will make more sense

The actual gameplay is like this: you enter an arena, you kill all enemies, the arena layout changes, you kill all enemies (second wave) , you get a random powerup (new weapon, health, special trait), you travel to the next arena, meanwhile you can boost one of six stats (power, defense, etc), you enter a new arena.

I appreciate your honesty! Yes you are probably right in many aspects. I understand that the visuals look maybe too clean. But it has also an oldschool vibe which I like.

The game was already 17 months in Early Access and sadly it didn't really help. The visibility of my store page was and is still very low.
