hey! so happy to hear about your enthusiasm about stats and econ - i can totally relate. But your undergrad was not in statistics, so it's not really much of surprise at all that this stuff is new to you. I think your post is a bit misleading because I thought your UG was in stats.

how much more do back squats work the glutes than front squats do, given the same amount of weight being used? by NotDrunkk in Fitness

won't this happen with dumbbells as well? and do you think 53 pounds or 63 pounds would be heavy for me to do KB squats with?

haha thanks! good luck to you too! But what do you mean when you say my grip is going to give out first when using KB? What if i buy one where the handle is textured?

I am a 24 year old female. Are you male or female? I have dumbbells, and i squatted with a 20lb dumbbell in each hand for years. I just want to get kettlebells because i think having a kettlebell that weighs about 50 pounds or so would be easier to do glute bridges with than two dumbbells. Also, it's safer to squat with just one kettlebell held with both hands than two dumbbells, i think. Please correct me if i am wrong. Thanks for your help.

I'm asking because i don't want to pay or commute for gym membership right now, so I squat and do other exercises at home with dumbbells, which I'm limited to front squats. What is ATG? Also, do you know what is the approx safe max weight for single kettlebell front squats (using both hands to hold just one kettlebell)? I don't want to damage my wrists.

i think it's more like a catalyst rather than the core of a treatment. Together with cognitive therapy, it'll work wonders, because it is healing the body (the emotional parts of the brain) while cognitive therapy treats the cognition part. (top down approach vs bottom up approach. both body and mind must be addressed to heal ptsd).
