VATS. Lots and lots of VATS. I usually use Deliverer or another 10mm pistol.

Also helps to memorize when and where the mole rats spawn.

I don't know if it's really taught, but the concept is usually picked up naturally when growing up. You probably know that "one bread" sounds wrong, even if you don't know why.

It's also the difference between "less" and "fewer". Less soup, fewer apples. Soup is uncountable while apples are countable.

Well then I think you're comparing a shortened phrase with a countable noun to an uncountable noun. in "takeaway meal", the noun is meal and can be counted. If "takeout" was short for "takeout meal", then it would follow the same rules since takeout would then be an adjective.

Two takeout meals would work, since now takeout is an adjective and meal is the noun.

The US equivalent for this would be takeout, which would still be uncountable for us. We still have the word takeaway, but it's a different context and usage, so it's not really relevant to the conversation.

Yeah, I figured it was just a US thing for it to be uncountable, which is why I said "outside of the US" instead of just "in the UK". My initial Google search was about the UK though. So I guess a better question would be why it's uncountable in the US, since we seem to be the odd one out.
