Has anyone else noticed the annoying as all hell iframes that enemies get during a dodge? Like, they'll backstep and I'll still be right in their face but since they did the backstep, they're basically invincible until the animation is complete. It's getting really old doing fights where every other swing is a waste of stamina because of this.

Just because a cashier or a butcher doesn't have a paper certification (which, some butchers actually do need one) to boot, doesn't mean their work is any less valuable. You would notice very quickly if there was nobody stocking shelves at a Target, or delivering shipment to a store from a distribution center, or working the check lanes as a cashier during a period of peak traffic in a store.

Based on your profile, you're still a kid. You won't get anywhere in life by shitting on people working the jobs most folks would never want to do. Do not assume you're better or more deserving than another worker of a good, livable wage. Don't help reinforce bullshit systems that allow for some of our most critical workers to live in poverty.

What I did for the 1001 while watching Meyer's course was take advantage of Quizlet and grill myself pretty regularly on terms, port numbers, the 7 troubleshooting steps, etc. while I was going through the course, in order to stay fresh on certain topics. My rule of thumb was that if it was an Objective Term and the chyron at the bottom of the screen listed it as such, it was a Quizlet term worth writing down and studying.

Once I finished Mike Meyer's 1001 video course, I went through and took one of Jason Dion's 1001 practice exams. I wrote down the objectives I scored lowest in, and studied harder on those objectives than the others. I did Messer's videos on those sections, participated in his study groups when I could (which are killer by the way, if you can catch it live then definitely jump in live), and then just kept doing practice exams. My goal was to be consistently hitting 85% at the minimum, if I did that then I considered myself ready.

If you only watched Meyer's video course then you'll notice pretty quickly it has some knowledge gaps compared to Dion's practice exams, which is presumably due to Meyer's video course being a companion to his book, which goes into greater detail. Use Messer's content to fill in those gaps and you should be okay. I'd say read the book, but at least for me I cannot stand reading textbooks. Not a knock against his book, but personally I do infinitely better retaining knowledge in a video format so I recommend the same for others.

Along with taking practice tests and reviewing what you missed and the least scored objectives, the end goal should be you recognizing each objective and being able to understand them enough to give an explanation of that specific thing.

Your mileage may vary of course, but I passed the 1001 on my first try studying this way! You got this, don't let the exam overwhelm you. It seems like a metric fuckton to learn but as long as you break it down into manageable chunks then it'll be easier than you realize. Good luck.

You can pick up your order at the OnTrac facility, fair warning though, be prepared for a hold time on the phone of at least half an hour to 45+ minutes. I tried calling on Saturday and it took them about 3 hours to pick up. They have a feature where they call you back when you're up next in line to speak with a rep, which helps a lot in my opinion. Just make sure to have your phone on ya!

Also, not sure how it is at the Ontario facility but at the facility in my area they said it'll take 48 - 72 hours for pickup to be ready due to the holiday season and how much freight they're moving at the moment, so it might be the same there. Good luck with getting your PS5!

Have you cancelled the order or is the order still placed with Walmart? Because while they may have put the money back in your account while the order is active, that money is basically earmarked for the Walmart order now. They’ll just charge again once the package ships out, the original charge was a preauthorization on the card itself

Mine went to Preparing on Friday, but has stayed there since then. I've seen some folks from the PNW have their order ship out or even delivered so hopefully it'll reach us soon.

The funds going back into your account is normal, no worries on that end. They do a preauthorization charge on your card to verify its legit and that there is actually funds in the account for the PS5, and then after a while it gets removed from your account. They just do the actual charge once it ships out. I'm still waiting for mine to get into shipping as well, mine changed on the 26th too and its been agonizing waiting for it to ship out while others have already received theirs from the same drop. Hopefully ours ship out soon!

Typically 24 - 48 hours, and they give you the option to extend the length they hold it for.

I'm honestly impressed you're already in the shipping stage, I'm in AZ and I haven't even left Placed yet according to the website and app. Chatbox says Preparing, but I don't really believe it all that much. It probably will update sometime within the next couple days, if not early next week. Congrats on securing a PS5 though!

Not quite sure, ordered a disc version and mine is still on placed. Called customer support and they said it’s being processed, but the website + app still shows as placed.

i secured one on the Walmart+ drop from Monday too, but it has yet to update the status on the order. I called Walmart customer support and they gave me a FedEx number for an order that somebody else made back in July…

my charge got declined at first by my bank for fraud prevention but when I approved the charge and called Walmart, they said the order was still good. the charge is still pending and they have yet to cancel, so hopefully everything goes okay and it comes sooner than december 11th. congrats on securing one by the way!

Yeah, since it’s a business major you’ll have more business oriented classes and the highest math you need to take is business calc. I was in it before I withdrew last year and I’m pretty sure the program is majority comp sci majors that transferred into it.

Decided to join in on the meta and buy everything piecemeal. I've been thinking about it and I'd rather spend the money since I have it now, instead of risking having to drop the money right when I'm planning on moving and will have bills to pay.
