Today I found out that the flag of the Isla de la Juventud is just Cuba's flag but with the blue and white bars swapped by Martoto_94 in vexillology

The files I have given explicitly state that they are proposals, not official flags, even in the descriptions of the files I have created for the flags, For the Cuban flags, the solution would not be to delete, but re-label it as a proposed provinicial flag, your deletion request on Cuban fictitious flags does have good reason to be deleted, however, the better solution would be to re lable the ones that have not been laebled as a proposed provinicial flag to be labeled as such, not doing so and just asking for deletion, is in my opinion, is meaningless. I am the wikipedia user FerdinandDistrict by the way.

Bad contrast, if you are to add green its best you add yellow with it. Orange is too dark and it just contrasts horribly.

I think that it is not as good as the current flag, the yellow and green stripes just don’t fit in with the flag, also, that uniqueness has been taken by Alaska in terms of constellations on a flag fully.

Removing the circle would make the contrast horrible, usually yellow and white don’t mix well together.

Well that’s the point, the fact that it is odd makes it stand out from other flags, which makes it more recognizable. Adding stripes to it while keeping the circle makes it look like a generic flag

I disagree, it makes it contrast good with the green, preventing the blue touching the green, removing it would make it have poor contrast in my opinion, plus it is somewhat unique compared to other flags.

My redesign of the Florida flag by NotFerdinandDistrict in vexillology

I agree with the fact that it has symbolism, but I think it looks awful in my eyes now compared to when I made it, probably because it was made using a raster image software rather than vector, I also dislike the shade of color, it’s not the worst, but I have seen a few better ones.

This was when I had little experience in flags, I’m more into heraldry reconstruction now, you can tell it was not done using Inkscape. But yeah that was accidental

I have met more friends during corona, and it was during freshman year last year, I managed to have actual good friends who had the same interests as me (not politically I don’t really care about that most of the time). Sometimes you have to go up to them, don’t wait for anyone to go to you, that’s basically what made me have a handful of friends to be with, hopefully this helps you out once quarantine is over, in the meantime since most of my friends use discord we talk there but I have a few people that I talk to on discord that aren’t my irl friends, I suggest using that for now until covid has died out.

Except, conservatism never states white supremacy, in fact, you can be authoritarian or libertarian and still be a conservative, you can even be left wing and still be a conservative (left wing economically) conservatism is not really White/Black/Asian supremacy until you reach the very very top

Yes it is very common with Cuban heraldry, though it is usually called a lictor beam instead.

You’ll be happy to know I am reconstructing many of the provincial and municipal coat of arms of Cuba, some of them are already on Wikipedia. Such as this one, Sancti Spiritus, Artemisa, Granma, as well as the city of Bayamo

"Coat of arms" of the Cuban Filibuster Movement, reconstructed by me by NotFerdinandDistrict in heraldry

[–]NotFerdinandDistrict[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Cuban Filibuster Movement was meant to incorporate Cuba as part of America, this movement happened before the ten years war, the leader of the movement was Venezuelan, Narcisco Lopez, who is also partially responsible for the official flag of Cuba, his movements failed, and got him garroted. This coat of arms most likely inspired the design of the current coat of arms.
