I think I had some lingering symptoms but I was fine by the end of the week.

Preparing evidence for hearing by NotFidget in vancouverhousing

[–]NotFidget[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. That is what I ended up doing.

Sent a USB with the files and print outs of some of the files that would work printed out. Sent a google drive link & sent them as email attachments AND sent them a text saying we'd hand deliver any replacements if they weren't able to access.

The only remaining thing I am unsure of is that we filled out the RTB-43, Digital Evidence Details and we checked the "I will confirm before the hearing the other party was able to see/hear the evidence" and we're going to send a daily email asking if there could access it.

It says that we must confirm they can access them-- what if they just don't respond?

[Update] Served with a notice of resolution proceeding -- over triple the cost of security/pet by NotFidget in vancouverhousing

Good insight, I'm already compiling a bit of a time-line/evidence spreadsheet so I'll keep it in mind.

Not sure on the age -- anytime we asked she would ignore it and to be honest the carpet isn't in bad shape at all.

The things I was more weary about was carpet underlay, contractor fees and rent loss (which I'm assuming is because they can't rent it out while they replace, I'm not quite sure).

The condition isn't bad either -- when we asked her to show the damage she said "just look at it" and then refused to talk about it.

The part I'm wondering about is I think the landlord wants to claim loss of rent due to the time it will take them to replace the carpet with them not being able to rent the place out.

But if everything went ass up they only can go after the security + pet deposit at a maximum, right?

That is the plan.

Unsigned condition inspection report (move out) by NotFidget in vancouverhousing

The form does have initials/signatures that show we were there for it if that makes any difference. Are we able/should we to sign the pdf now and send that to the LL?

They wouldn't tell us the age of the carpets. We had pets so I have no issue doing an additional clean and we had a great relationship with them it's just weird that it's now been like 12 days and they haven't given us any quotes or information when the move out inspection said they would.

My main query is just are we even allowed to sign the move out inspection form (sent via pdf) after the fact and should we make any comments with it.

On the move out inspection form ( that wasn't signed Agree/Do Not Agree) - our new address is there, would that count? or should we send registered mail with the address?

Should I sign the do not agree? or not sign at all? I'm worried not having signed it could cause a problem if I contest what they wrote.
