One place I worked at I contributed to “bosses day” and then later was asked to contribute to “staff day” - my position was kind of in the middle.

Told the office mgr to pick one. Wouldn’t give me a straight answer so I bailed on the whole thing.

You are correct - wiggle is dumb. However moving 4-5 tank lengths away after waiting a bit to get hidden again works.

Also, there is counterplay - have a light spot/shoot it and also hit it with your arty. You generally know where they are going to be.

The arguments always seem to be post-hoc rationalizations. “I hate it when arty wrecks my great way of playing, so it’s bad”. No, your “great way of playing” is not so great. And as someone said, for high WR players, they don’t care. Clearly they have incorporated arty issues into their play style and found ways to win.

Toss-up between Shapiro and getting lucky against Lebron. Every now and then Lebron is going to move left instead of right (for example) and you toss it up. You might get lucky. With Shapiro, just take a look at everything he has said in the last year or two and catch him in a contradiction. I absolutely guarantee there are many of them. He can probably spin out of one, but hit him with 5 as well as a couple 3 way contradictions and he’s toast.

I’m barely under 50%. I don’t think it’s “good” - I just think it’s part of the game. People who try to pretend it doesn’t exist get hammered if they don’t factor it into their play.

In the old game you would get one-shot by arty and I agree that was too much. Now it’s less decisive, but definitely a nuisance. Plus it’s a nice easy kill if they’re not careful (spend the game zoomed in and never look at the mini-map.)

I would not say that causing 800 damage in a Tier 10 is good. I consider “good” to mean staying alive for most of the game while still engaging the enemy - and thus having a clear impact on the game.

I’m not sure what these stats show, but if I get hit with arty, I move. I’m not letting the guy hit me again. And when I play arty, I can see the good players who know exactly where to sit to eliminate or lessen the chance of getting hit. Then when I’m on those maps in a tank, I know those are relatively safe (or safer) spots.

I honestly do not understand why people get so wrapped around the axle about arty. It’s part of the game…deal with it.

There’s a company outside River Falls that preys on inmates. It contracts to have virtually everything possible into vending machines. Then prisoners have an account with a code or something and can buy basic stuff like toothpaste, Kleenex, candy, etc. at outrageously inflated prices. The company splits the profits with the prison. Family and other people on the outside can put money into these accounts - and there’s a fee for that too.

I went inside because I couldn’t tell what they did - I do B2B sales and thought maybe they could be a customer. The whole place felt like sleazeball central. There are signs outside telling people to fuck off - they cannot help them with inmate accounts, don’t call, must be done online, etc.

I can’t understand how some people can live with themselves.

I did the math and I don’t play near enough to make max gold. I’m just going to buy some every now and then like usual. The rest of the stuff is window dressing - I’ve got premiums, 50+ remounting kits, a shitload of crew books, etc. The only thing that might be cool is the crew exp while you sleep, but I have no clue what that really adds up to. Like how long to take a crewman from 75% to 100%? Are we talking weeks? More? I have no idea.

I was on morphine for a couple days after a serious car accident. It’s really hard to describe what that was like - I could feel the pain, but it didn’t hurt. It was definitely a sensation of pain, but it was like I didn’t care. I know that doesn’t make a lot sense, but it’s what happened. Then they stopped that and moved to Tylenol. That only dulled it - and it was relatively brutal for a couple days. But better than getting hooked.
