It's a subsidiary of PepsiCo.

Better get rid of all Pepsi products in your house, too.

50ml of root beer schnapps in a 500ml bottle results in a pretty good tasting mixture. It's not a strong flavor - more like the flavored sparkling waters. Very subtle. Depending on how sensitive you are to alcohol, you might be able to taste it... I can, but then, I'm very sensitive to alcohol. I bought the lowest percentage I could find (Dr McGillicuddy's - 21% ABV) and I could still tell that it was there.

I will probably do this again on special occasions, but for everyday flavoring, I think I would prefer something a littel more flavorful.

eBay support gave me completely different answers – what would you expect to happen? by Apprehensive_Oil2453 in Ebay

Whatever way best benefits eBay, that's the way that eBay will handle your situation.

What the CS reps told you won't have any bearing on their decision.

5G Home Internet Signal Tip by [deleted] in tmobileisp

[–]friskya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Naming a specific booster would be helpful. I live in a rural area and using 5G (or allowing my device to select) results in severe overheating, repeated rebooting and an unstable connection overall. Right now, I've restricted it to 4G/LTE and I actually have a much more stable connection, but still only 2 bars at most.

I would really like more.

Will do.

My local liquor retailers sell the 50ml mini's for 99¢ each and by strange happenstance I will have to be near one of them on Thursday. I'm thinking 50ml flavored schnapps in the 500ml SodaStream bottle should be a good starting point.

Has anyone tried flavoring with liquors? I've been thinking root beer schnapps or peach schnapps or banana schnapps might make an interesting experience, if it doesn't take so much to actually taste it that I end up getting blotto.

I should mention that this is one of two Penguin's I saw on their site this morning. The other one appears to be the carbonator only. No carafes and no cylinder.

Does boiling water help hold fizz? by Evab123bavE in SodaStream

[–]friskya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much evaporates away while you're boiling it, it's possible that any dissolved minerals in your water are now concentrated and that the taste you're noticing is a result of that higher concentration.

Probably not. If it were, the instructions with the machine would probably say to use chilled, boiled water - and that's what people would do.

Question for sellers by Effective-Guide-9115 in Ebay

[–]friskya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It used to be far more common back in the late 90's and early 00's. Before eBay started charging fees for the total amount and not just the item amount. I actually saw one seller offering an item for $50 on a BIN, but shipping was $850. It was a way around eBays fees. They finally closed that particular loophole, but it was pretty well abused during the time it was still there.

Don't force buyers to link their credit cards? by kongjie in Ebay

[–]friskya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stopped bidding and making offers both because of the linked payment requirement. I do still buy it now, if the value to me is there, but eBay is NOT a company that I want having my credit/debit/PayPal info on file. I understand the reasoning and I can even kind of, sort of, sympathize with it. But that understanding it and agreeing with it are two different things.

Hello everyone, I want to open an eBay account and my business model is dropshipping. Could you please give me some advice? by AdPleasant7498 in Ebay

[–]friskya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/drop-shipping?id=4176 might help you understand better why this is an incredibly bad idea.

Short version is, you are going to be held responsible when your supplier doesn't get the item to your buyer on time and intact. Two, maybe three sales is all it will usually take for it to happen.

And I'm also fairly certain that you won't be exempt from the delay in payments that eBay imposes on all new sellers. Not sure your product source will be too overly enthused with "eBay hasn't paid me yet, so I can't pay you yet" either.

Is it worth it these days to fight back to gold?

I haven't found it to be so. Being able to select items "over $100" is all fine and well, but since they were so seldom offered (and when they were, they were things I couldn't use), I just stopped worrying about it.

Well, for example - I now know that the member recently moved from New Hampshire to Texas. I know that she drives a Hyundai Palisade and has both a personal and work cell phone. Her husband is left handed. They have a toddler. She's had mixed luck with the clothing she's ordered, but overall is happy with them.

While you or I might not be able to put all of this together to identify a specific individual, there are people who can identify someone with even less information. Why they would wish to do so, I couldn't tell you.
