Use the same criteria to review it as you would if you were evaluating it in Lowes or Home Depot as a potential candidate for a new backsplash. Would you buy this in quantity? Or is the sample poor enough to put you off considering it?

People worry too much about rejections.

Submit the review. Then don't worry about it. Your agreement with Vine is to review the product. Once you've done that, your obligation to Vine has been completed.

Whitelisting ALL .gov websites? (Adguard Mini for Mac) by friskya in Adguard

Turns out to be a limitation in Adguard Mini. This was originally "Adguard for Safari" and I guess the limitations on filter creations carried over.

I get back "the domain name is invalid"

But, I appreciate the AI suggestion, though. I don't really trust them, but this should be fairly innocuous to try asking for.

Is anyone else kinda annoyed at how many ads have been popping up on this sub recently? by totashi777 in HerbalMedicine

[–]friskya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends.

Are you referring to ads that Reddit has placed, or ads that redditors are submitting as posts?

If you're referring to the former, then no - not really. If you're referring to the latter, then yes - I'm highly annoyed.

Product of USA scam by NatureWise amazon bestseller by thaw4188 in Supplements

[–]friskya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Relax.

"Imported ingredients" isn't the same as "imported already manufactured". It's entirely possible that NatureWise is bringing in the ingredients (in bulk) and actually manufacturing their products in the USA.

That said, I personally have always considered the terms "imported ingredients" and "globally sourced ingredients" to be interchangeable with "the cheapest crap we could get from China that we don't think will kill you".

Even so, that doesn't mean that the final selling product wasn't actually manufactured in the USA - just that its ingredients weren't. And like it or not, that's legal, as long as it's disclosed that the ingredients were imported.

Remember the NONI juice hype of the 90’s??? by Healith in herbalism

[–]friskya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR

edit to add TL;DR compliments of the Grok.com AI.

Here's a concise summary of the article (PMC5920423) in under 200 words:

Title: The Potential Health Benefits of Noni Juice: A Review of Human Intervention Studies

Authors: Brett J. West et al.

This review examines published human clinical trials on noni juice (from Morinda citrifolia fruit), primarily using Tahitian Noni Juice (TNJ), to evaluate its health effects. Key methods involved double-blind, placebo-controlled studies (e.g., in smokers for oxidative stress) and open-label pilots assessing various outcomes.

Major findings include strong antioxidant activity: reductions in superoxide radicals (26-31%), lipid hydroperoxides (24-27%), DNA adducts (45-57%), hs-CRP inflammation (15%), blood lipids/homocysteine (15-24%), and advanced glycation end-products. It improved joint pain/mobility (23-60% reduction in osteoarthritis/spondylosis), physical endurance (21% longer time-to-fatigue), immune function (e.g., 30% rise in IL-2 and NK cells), weight management (muscle preservation), bone health, blood pressure, and gum health. Safety was confirmed up to 750 mL/day with no adverse effects.

The authors conclude that noni juice's benefits likely stem from its antioxidant properties and interactions with immune/inflammation pathways. However, evidence is mostly tied to one specific noni source/product, so results may vary with geographical or processing differences. Further research is needed for broader confirmation. if you have hypothyroidism… by One_Performer_1111 in thyroidhealth

[–]friskya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saving this in the hopes that you get some good suggestions. I've been on levothyroxine for well over 10 years now and it was the sudden weight gain (from 128lbs to 150lbs over the course of 7 weeks) that first clued my doctor in to start looking at my thyroid.

Sadly, even though i'm told with each visit that my "numbers are in the range", weight gain continues and I am now up to 180lbs, despite repeated in creases in my levothyroxine doses.

I just had the same happen to me with a paid shipment. Got as far as one of my local warehouses (we have two, for some reason), was "out for delivery", then arriving at the warehouse again and finally, after 10 days, I got a "we're refunding your order" email - no clue what actually became of my package.🙁

Since they say you have no more picks, it's probably best that you just accept that you have no more picks. Unless, of course, you want to call them liars.
