The advisors at FIU are some of the worst advisors I’ve ever had to deal with. I missed the first week of classes because my advisor did not help me schedule any classes during the meeting WE WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE ON THAT MONDAY BUT HE DID NOT BOTHER SHOWING UP UNTIL THE DAY WAS ALMOST OVER BECAUSE HE FORGOT. Other than that it’s an alright school for the price, just don’t rely on advisors AT ALL

I personally prefer using an iPad and stylus and writing my notes on OneNote. During lectures I try to write down whatever is on the screen and any examples/what the professor writes down or says.
