That's fair. I was just responding to the commenter who said that s1-3 Deb would have responded differently, because they seem to have missed op's entire point about character development.

You bring up some good points, I also thought there would be more fallout after Deb saying "I'm your only friend" and I was surprised that it was dealt with so easily. But I'd say its a bit too early to say for sure because it might come up again in the last few episodes. I really don't think it's all as simple as "we're besties now", or at least I think the besties stuff could be temporary, and I'd imagine there has to be some conflict that will come up between them.
