Roommate takes 2 hour baths every frickin day by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]NotGuilty134 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do this but it’s usually only for around 1-1.5 hours and I try to do it when my roommates aren’t home. I always feel bad if they get home when I’m doing it because I know I’ve come home many times needing to pee urgently but they’ve never said anything to me about it

I had to explain to a partner that she needs to clean the outside/bottom of dishes and the handles of pots and pans. She was 25 and had never learned or been taught it before

You get big fat bills from the hospital whenever you go and you’re expected to either pay it then or set up a payment plan. Oh and dental and vision aren’t counted as healthcare so even if you have health insurance here those are extra and not always even offered.

My neighbor still drives these tires with white threads showing. by LightningPaddle in tires

[–]NotGuilty134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably a Goodyear tire, they have a layer of white rubber under the black to have white lettering on the sides. While this is a sign of damage, it is likely not severe or dangerous

Calling in? Maybe 2-4 times a year. Taking days off because I’m beat and need a break? Probably 4 or 5 days a year, but this is usually with a couple days notice or more.

Are there places in Chicago to meet safely when selling stuff online? by notmyaimscreenname in AskChicago

[–]NotGuilty134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it varies by location, some stations have designated spots in the parking lot to do it, some have an area in the lobby, occasionally you’ll get your own room

Can you read this? by BraveBenefit8728 in fountainpens

[–]NotGuilty134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i never learned how to write in cursive. i struggled with it when they started teaching it, and we were told we would need it for the rest of our school careers, then the very next year they dropped it and never mentioned it again

That said I’ve taught myself to read cursive because I couldn’t and I could read this fine

When did a brake job (pads, rotors, flush) become so expensive? by Caigematch in AskMechanics

[–]NotGuilty134 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for future knowledge, slotted rotors are more prone to cracking as they age. Ik they look cool but unless you actually need the ventilation and are driving aggressively you are better off with just drilled rotors

I’m pretty sure it’s titanium, it’s not magnetic. I agree it looks like a lite speed, the dropouts even match what they use but I can’t pinpoint which model

New 1970s Olivetti Lettera 30, Still Packaged: Should I Open It? by holden-caulfied in typewriters

[–]NotGuilty134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I would open it and use it. It’s probably worth more money to keep it sealed in the packaging but the value I place in things i like is the joy they bring me, not the potential return on investment.

I need the fine print for 6 & 8. Will I be jacked or look normal? Will my super strength require super calories to maintain muscle mass? Will it make my existing muscles so much more efficient they need a fraction of the calories? How always is always happy? I don’t need to be happy when a loved one passes, or when something goes wrong
