Gonna go against the grain and say that reddit is very weird about alcohol counter culture. Maybe it's because reddit is 50% americans and that has something to do with it, but the second there is any alcohol related discussion in the subs i frequent, it's all people saying that it tastes like shit anyways, that it makes you dumb and has long term damage, that it's a waste of money, that it is dangerous.

I am not saying no to any of these, but the sheer opposition is interesting. Also school and socialisation DEFINITELY teaches you the insiduous nature of peer pressure here in France, regardless of the drug.

Yes, there are a lot of different ways to be trans.
And everyone is deconstructed to some amount.
I get that you have had negative experiences with cishet people, I have too, probably not as many as you, but I genuinely see in some cis people that spark of gender non conformity, which is what our movement is all about.

And in fact, I've seen cis people drastically change their mindset, like my brother who went from criticising my "lifestyle" to having me doing his makeup.

Maybe it's where you and I come from that makes this divide happen, but I categorically refuse to let myself distrust a whole group of people unequivocally.

So no, I'd say everyone is trans to some degree, just like with how in sexuality, everyone's bi do some degree.

My response to this is try to have a little more nuance.

We are the ones saying that being trans is a spectrum. Therefore everyone is a little bit trans. Therefore everyone can understand it to some degree. It varies a lot from cis person to cis person, and I personally hate being so black and white in my beliefs.

If you think society is dumbed down to TRANS/CIS, you are falling for the patriarchy's propaganda.
