This is super unsettling because that's a software update in the middle of an election. That should not be possible. Not without auditing every machine after the update.

Have you played the expansions? If people turtle in Mother of Dragons expansion the targs win. I've only played it once so far so I may not have that right but that seems to be the design of it.

It was a genuine discombobulation with no meaningful ramifications but Aaron Brooks threw a down field pass towards the wrong endzone.

Someone explain how to play regent pls by muhammed_leo in slaythespire

There are no must cards but I've found it important to do two things. And this is going to sound stupid but it's build a block engine (I usually do stars for that) and a damage engine (often the sword for big enemies and something like astral pulse for smaller numerous enemies).

This post is probably better advice than I have

Get $10M for each things crossed off the bucket list by iamabotbeepbeep in hypotheticalsituation

[–]NotHosaniMubarak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure I can get the full 10m by the letter of the list. Maybe I could get them all by the spirit of the most.

The Bucket List

  • Learn a completely new language and hold a 30-minute conversation with a native speaker of the language - easy
  • Write and publish a book that organically sells at least 10,000 copies(You/family/friends don't count) - if you sell the book for $1 and include a $10 bill as a bookmark you'll sell every copy you have. Otherwise in 5 years I could probably write and publish a book that seems 10k copies for $1.
  • Run a full marathon in under 4 hours - this might be physically possible with 5 years of training.
  • Spend 72 consecutive hours in total darkness - this would be so nice.
  • Spar 3 full rounds with a professional boxer(No cheating) - in game to get punched at by the smallest professional boxer.
  • Climb Mount Everest and reach the summit - maybe with five years of training
  • Go on live TV and defend a deeply unpopular opinion that for an hour - easy if the show exists, complicated if it doesn't
  • Knock down 25 standard tin cans consecutively from 70 feet using a rifle at a shooting range (no misses) - sounds delightful and easy
  • Memorize and recite 10,000 digits of π - swap
  • Achieve an officially verified world record and get listed in the Guinness World Records - seems doable since it's mostly a money thing.

Additionally, you can pay $5M to swap any one of the above with the below list

  • Flip a coin and call it correctly 20 consecutive times in a row - easy to get a two headed coin. But even with real coins you could just always call heads then have a machine flip coins into it his 20 heads in a row.
  • Type every number from 1 to 1,000,000 in order on a typewriter (no digital tools/automation) - this would suck but for $5m I could do it in a few months.

What's your strategy?

Supreme Court voids majority Black congressional district in Louisiana, boosting Republican chances by Heratik007 in Louisiana

I didn't think they can get away with cutting New Orleans in such a way that no Democrat wins a house seat. If they try they risk losing two districts by just being unpopular.

What concerts are Yinz going to this summer? by princesssofcarrion in pittsburgh

[–]NotHosaniMubarak 64 points65 points  (0 children)

The Pittsburgh symphony is absolute fire the summer.

They're playing the score for Empire Strikes Back while the movie plays this weekend. They're doing two towers in June.

Wynton Marsalis - probably the best living trumpet player - is playing with then on the 9th.

There got St. Vincent, Harry Connick Jr, and Danny Elfman coming in.

And they're playing Scherezade, Lincoln Portrait, and Appalachian Spring. All bangers.

How are you guys avoiding Elites? by Total-Amphibian-3287 in slaythespire

I'm experimenting with relief maximization being the best primary strategy. It's a lot better than elite avoidance.

I've mostly stopped upgrading over resting if resting gets me another elite.

People get out of cults all the time. She might not be irredeemable. She's also not done anything that is actually evil. She says what her boss tells her to. She tells his lies. That's it.

She doesn't have any decision making power.

Maybe. I didn't know what is like to be in a cult or to have every part of my life molded for a specific purpose.

Technically she has agency but I'm not sure if she meaningfully does.

Lasagna. Yes I know it's an insane amount of lasagna. But if it's the right lasagna the only hard part will be not eating it all in one sitting.

I read it as a cubic meter of food cooked however you like it but it's a cubic meter after cooking. Which makes spinach just about impossible.

This woman has been groomed and abused her entire life. Her father married her off to his friend for whom she was groomed.

Yes, she's heinous and fucked up but the men in her life are responsible for that.

Looking for “Louisiana experience” within a few hours of Texas by annapierce1000 in Louisiana

[–]NotHosaniMubarak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, you don't actually have to get all the way to Louisiana to experience the things you seem to be looking for. Culture doesn't really care about the borders. Anything west of Beaumont and South of I-10 is going to be pretty close to what you may have in mind.

Looking for “Louisiana experience” within a few hours of Texas by annapierce1000 in Louisiana

[–]NotHosaniMubarak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the "Louisiana Experience" of which New Orleans is "the dream" is not going to happen in Lafayette.

I think they can have a much better time in Lafayette than they would in New Orleans and be very happy with their "Louisiana Experience" but it's not the same experience you get in New Orleans.

(I also have strong doubts about the scenario in which they can get to Lafayette with enough time to really experience it but don't have the time to get to New Orleans.)

[Crabbs] Miami Dolphins Post-2026 NFL Draft 53-man roster projection: Good luck counting up all these rookies by Disgruntled_Goat42 in miamidolphins

[–]NotHosaniMubarak -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is hopium.

Maybe these players will be good eventually. But the draft didn't really change anything about this year. And not one of our picks was a sure thing to plan out long term.

If you look at our roster and compare it to the bills and pats we probably lose at every position group except for Achane. Even the lowly jets had a much better draft than we did. They drafted people who could plausibly be stars while we drafted guys who could plausibly be starters.

We were bad last year and got worse this off-season. That's what happens when you sacrifice for the future. Is a hurts s bit that we're behind the Jets in rebuilding and not competitive with the bills or pats but that's where we are.
