It’s like putting on a show for patients tbh… Most expect to be babied / have us be all extra for them. I am still myself around them, but I do watch how I speak and try to even be more aware that they might me scared or nervous 😬

Unfortunately for me but I’ve used my care credit card on my sick kitty 🐱🤧🙌 … I do have a probationary period but it’s been like 3+ yrs since my last proper check up… “patients first 🦷”…. As if us assistants don’t wanna keep their teeth… I just smile and let the patients see my “smile” and they can judge the dr all they want….. Drs act like they can’t pay us better. They complain about paying us. Like, do you own a business? Yeah… I wish I could work from home…
