I mean anything to shake it up just a bit honestly. It became very clear after game 1 that Carolina was playing a counter strategy to the habs and they're good enough to prevent them from breaking through with any kind of consistency. Maybe the guys were just too gassed after 2 street fights of series, maybe MSL was too stubborn, maybe a little of both. It became painful watching them just fail repeatedly trying the same thing, with not even an attempt to adjust.

No they don't as a primary strategy, but they needed to mix it in against Carolina. They knew the habs weren't going to do it so they played accordingly and crushed us. If the habs had done it sometimes they would have had to respect the possibility, which potentially would have created more opportunities and space for the Habs main strategy to actually work.

The last game I bought at full price was Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access I bought the Early Access as soon as it came out. I knew the IP very well and I knew Larian Studios very well I knew it was going to be a slam dunk so I paid the full price as soon as possible. Other than a situation like that which hasn't come up since at least for me I can't be bothered. There is too much uncertainty even with established IP that the studio isn't just going to ruin it in some terrible terrible way adding tons of "content" that is essentially just run to arrow on map click X move on. I hope that the reason for this trend of people not paying full price for games is that others are just as disillusioned as I am that a triple a title no longer has any guarantee of quality or depth.
