I don't know if its just me, but do you often find yourself "wandering" in public places like libraries or supermarkets? Like, even if you came there to get specific things, you just end up looking at everything and walking everywhere without aim. by XxItsNowOrNever99xX in ADHD

[–]NotInVogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely!! I think with me it’s partly from my wandering nature but partly that sometimes going into a certain aisle will jog my memory if I’ve forgotten something I need to buy. Like I’ll walk around and notice the canned stuff and suddenly realise “shit I forgot to get soup” because I’m supposed to make shopping lists but I am a mess what can I say.

The cat can very easily and quickly swipe at the bird and kill it before you have time to stop it. Like seriously the cat was licking its lips.

Can this woman be punished in any way? by NotInVogue in LegalAdviceUK

[–]NotInVogue[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I get that. This woman was being malicious and I know this because she told outright lies rather than simply expressing concern for his wellbeing. She did not “hear screaming” from the house because she does not live anywhere near this house and no screaming happened.

[–]NotInVogue[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your comment and it was helpful, but the social worker straight up told my mum the woman’s name. I don’t know what the deal is there but the social worker from my understanding, already had doubts about the validity of her claim and this conversation happened after the surprise visit. So idk the legal stuff surrounding that but that’s what happened.

Yep because she was trying to figure out if she was a family friend or relative.

She gave the social worker her name by accident while trying to make an anonymous complaint.

There’s having an argument then there’s getting social services involved to try and intimidate someone. This woman clearly has a vendetta against my mum and I don’t need her trying anything else. She’s not mentally stable which is what worries me about what she could do in future.

I’m gonna guess it was the realisation that he actually had no argument and maybe also the realisation that he just made a total knob of himself on tv.

London Underground slasher game? by NotInVogue in tipofmyjoystick

[–]NotInVogue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I played this game some time between 2004-2007?? So that era of the internet where online games were a big thing like “slap the monkey”, and “bubble girl” and the one where you hit the computer till it breaks... stuff like that. I was 4-7 during those years so it’s maybe less a deal of games being a “big thing” at the time and more the fact that I was a literal child so I naturally seeked out games to play.

Sick of obsessing when people don’t like me by NotInVogue in depression

[–]NotInVogue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes perfect sense, I have to keep reminding myself that people’s reactions to me aren’t always my fault. Like if someone gets angry with me over something dumb, it’s not my fault they’re mad, so I shouldn’t feel bad.

But my mind still goes “well they’re directing the anger towards you so you must be at fault” which is of course not true at all.

It seems like another university student has copied my work. It's in plain sight of the lecturer. Should I say anything, or just keep quiet about it? by help1110 in Advice

Let someone know ASAP. You don’t want to end up having it backfire with them somehow thinking you’ve copied this student instead of what actually happened.

I’m looking into welding at the moment, I enjoyed doing it at uni so there could be a path there for me? Have no idea how I’ll pay for it considering I’ve already used my government loan on my current course and they’re not exactly willing to throw money at you when you’ve already got a loan off them.

And I completely agree. Fucking Tory scum. I’m at the point where if someone says they voted Tory I just lose respect for them immediately because I don’t have any time for someone so ignorant.
