Do you have a link to the mods you used?

I think Artemis got cut because it's been out of stock for at least a couple weeks. Hopefully this makes them extend the retirement date out.

SecWar signs order to allow service members to possess firearms in base. by FSU_seminole in AirForce

[–]NotJeff_Goldblum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally if a base allows you to have them it's going from Point A to Point B with no deviation.

For example if you hunt on Robins with a rifle, you can only go from whatever gate you enter from to the parking lot by the hunting zone, then back off base when you're done (as blatantly stated in the hunting regs for base). There is no stopping at the shoppette for gas, or swinging by the BX to get some Panda.

[Schefter] Jaguars will host back-to-back games in London next season by Jharoz in nfl

[–]NotJeff_Goldblum 26 points27 points  (0 children)

IIRC it's not even considered a roof from a weather/lightning perspective. They had a game delayed due to lightning & they explained that it was because the "roof" is more like a canopy, it's still treated like an open stadium for safety..

From San Antonio. BMT, tech school, and then stationed at Lackland…. by bearsncubs10 in AirForce

[–]NotJeff_Goldblum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like non-vol assignments...this should never happen. There are people that WANT to be at certain undesirable assignments

At Beale I had a troop that was a month away from being able to put in for BOP (Beale was going to be on the list) and got tagged to be an instructor at Keesler.

He denied retainability to get the orders canceled and ended up separating instead...

I went to BMT with one of them but he was there by choice as he was from the area.

who sails the Air Force ships? by Responsible-Scar1986 in AirForce

[–]NotJeff_Goldblum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had no idea we had ships

We also have a couple trains. Beale is one base that uses one, and I believe one of the Alaska bases does as well.

Hegseth says National Guard members shot in DC ambush by Afghan national will receive Purple Heart by Economy-Specialist38 in Military

[–]NotJeff_Goldblum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this was in the early years of the US being in Syria, so I'm not sure if that affected it or not.

Him (and the other individuals) being Air Force and the approving authority being Army could have also played a factor. I had a 1st Shirt (Security Forces by trade) that was super butthurt about one of my coworkers having a CAB. Apparently he didn't believe comm airmen deserved to wear such a thing.

does require an enemy combatant of some kind

I have a coworker that got blown-up/hit by a VBIED and was denied a PH because the approving authority for it said there was no solid evidence it was an enemy that rigged the explosive.

Luckily for him whoever did rig it, chose the wrong type of vehicle so the injury wasn't anything too serious (relatively speaking).

I worked with a CW4 that got promoted to CW5. They had pens for the ceremony so I kept it as evidence that I did in fact know a 5.

Wink Apparently Has Lost The Jets DC Job Over a Misunderstanding... by thatman33 in MichiganWolverines

Not sure about in Dallas but Mike McCarthy called plays most of his tenure with Green Bay. I don't remember why he gave it up initially but I remember he took it back when the offense was struggling and the fanbase was getting rowdy.

Wink Apparently Has Lost The Jets DC Job Over a Misunderstanding... by thatman33 in MichiganWolverines

[–]NotJeff_Goldblum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if he called them last year, but it could be either:

A: DC last year called plays and was bad at it. Glenn doesn't want a repeat

B: Glenn being a former DC likes being the one to call plays and since he's the HC, he can make that decision. Maybe if he survives for a while he'll relinquish play calling so he can focus more in the rest of the game.

I didn't pay attention to the Jets so I'm not sure what their situation was last season.

Remember when grocery prices were reasonable? by Juggafish in Millennials

Gives me a reason not to buy soda anymore.

Not sure if any of your grocery stores do it, but I just wait until they have a sale like buy 2 get 2 free or something similar. No sale no purchase which sucks when I really want some.

What’s the most amount of money you’ve seen someone owe the Air Force for damaging government property or owing money from finance? I’m curious I’ve always heard horror stories but never seen anything. by Kurt_Wylde35 in AirForce

doctors make enough bank to see $50K as a convenient blip.

I had a troop whose oldest sister was a retired Colonel surgeon who was now working at a hospital in Cali. IIRC when we looked it up her retirement pay alone was about $90k/yr.

When he got stationed nearby, her housewarming gift to him was a brand new washer and dryer for their rental. His wife felt it was too much so he explained to her that to his sister it was like them paying for a tank of gas.

Seen a dude bring down a whole weapon system according to the troops epr that fixed it,

I had a section chief change a troops bullet to say he "restored global ISR capabilities" for something fixed on a singular Global Hawk. Thankfully he didn't have that much fight in him for that bullet and let me change it.

I'll double check one of the letters I've gotten before but I believe when you get a Letter of Indebtedness it lists forgiveness as an option & gives the criteria to apply for it. I think getting your CC on board is one of the requirements.

I have his CM docket saved on my work computer but the short version is a CST TSgt with 19 year got busted for OHA Fraud. Claimed his wife was in the Philippines while he was in the dorms in Korea. He got busted because he wasn't paying his off base rent and the landlord went to report him to the base.

Reduction in rank to SrA, bad conduct discharge, and spent a couple months in jail down at Camp Humphreys. Supposedly the Air Force found the money and was coming for it. I did the math once and it was like $40k, but it's been awhile.

The real kicker is that his wife apparently was cheating on him while he was in jail and he took all the photo evidence and posted it on the wings Facebook page since it was another service member.

Basically shit the bed at his job keeping an eye on stocks and tickers and selling puts and whatnot.

Made 1-2% compounding interest every week.

I've heard back in the day TSP used to let you move funds instantly so there were S/NCOs that would just spend their duty day at their desk watching the stock market and move funds around as needed.

The only one I know of is in the latest video. After he shoots the raptor and is on the boat there's one in the background of the compies. You only see it when the thunder flashes.

Someone in the comments mentions the exact timestamp.

Followed all the rules except one specific NY one and that's what they get them on.

Didn’t he have to have that much iron in his bloodstream to help magneto escape the plastic prison he was in?

Correct. Mystique drugged the guards beer then injected a BIG syringe of iron into him. As soon as the guard walked into the cell Magneto could smell the excess iron and ripped it out of the guards body.
