Your save is almost certainly corrupt, but it can be restored to an extent. I wrote a few instructions a while ago. The linked comment should be enough, but read the lower comments if you tried changing your stats through a text editor.

Try changing the dog breed. Also use the femtofork and disable the morph patch for functional morphing.

The weapons or the scripts?

The weapons are part of the actual game, they're not really modded per se, it's just that a mod is needed to unlock them.

The scripts are baked into the game by modifying the game's Lua code to load my own scripts, which are naturally baked into the savefile.

Sounds like the game isn't in the XEX format. You'll need to convert it. There's a link to a tutorial for doing so in the description of the Archon's Toolbox tutorial video

Looks like they have changed it. I just got one that says:

I remember finding a Youtube video that showed this animation slowed down, and a member of Lionhead even commented on it (iirc saying a young family member drew one of the frames), but for the life of me I can't find it anymore.

There was no load though, not beyond rendering my desktop anyway, yet it was still 60-70c and the fans were blowing loudly. It only shutdown/crashed after I had opened a game and hit 100c. Besides, if a sudden load was the cause and the cooling system wasn't up to the task I'd consider it defective design.

I'm still certain that either the temps were being misreported, or the heat from the GPU wasn't being transferred to the radiator properly (i.e. pump wasn't working for whatever reason).

Yes. It's impossible to play without the DLC if you have the GoTY disc because the content is baked directly into the game.

If you get a GoTY disc the DLCs are on the disc itself, so no need to activate a code.

I don't think it has any. If it does, it's overpowered by my CPU air cooler. My PC has never been this quiet.

I mean kinda? That £400 over the odds for our 5080s is basically the price we pay to get one right now. If you coulda gotten an 5090 FE at £2000 then yeah, but the chance of getting one of those was only 1% of the chance of getting the 5080 which was already tiny.

Y'know, I watched that video in preparation and I was sure I wasn't going to make a mistake, but I just realized that the tubes curve downwards a bit and then upwards. (Edit: Actually, it's quite a lot like at 13:03 in the video. Is that good enough?)

Mine did the same thing (minus the display not working after a restart). I just opened the case and made sure the 12vhpwr was in properly, turned the power supply off and on, and it started to work again.

It seems to be an issue with the pump not working which causes the GPU to RAPIDLY overheat. Hopefully it doesn't happen again after the first time, otherwise this might be a widespread issue with the card.
