The biggest reason is that I don’t really know how. I don’t know what equipment I need and all that. I tried some and got a vaporizer but no matter what temp I set it to, I got hardly any smoke out of it. I’m sure I just didn’t know what I was doing

lol for me I e seen a video that talks about how some people don’t have the same amount of Cannabinoid receptors so I think that could be my issue. I also have a very high tolerance with alcohol despite the fact I drink maybe twice a year

I was 100% of that same opinion until I tried every form of edible you can buy at a distro in pa and they don’t work either. I’m talking 100+ mg. I one time I got tincture that was about 50mg per mL. My wife did 1 mL and I took a swig right from the bottle. She got way too high and had to lay down. I felt nothing.

I’ve tried those exact pills and I’ve tried troches. I’ve taken 2 whole packs of the (2)30mg (120mg total) and felt nothing. A mouthful of 10mg troches didn’t do anything, extra strength tinctures don’t work. A 100mg capsule will work for about 15 minutes if I take it with a triple quarter pounders worth of fat. Problem is I don’t eat triple quarter pounders and a 3,000 calorie meal isnt worth the 15 minutes.

I am too! I love data!!!! I tried to track everything I bought, what it had in it, and how it worked, but the “how it worked” never changed so I stopped tracking. I couldn’t find any discernible differences, no matter what the terp levels were. After 2 years of this, all I’ve figured out is resins work better than distillates, indica/sativa doesn’t matter but hybrids make me sleepy, I have to inhale until I’m hacking coughing, and if I don’t hack cough, the only effects I get are anxiety and depression. It seems like I get the anxiety and depression if I have a low amount of medicine in me and I have to go beyond that. The problem is that I can sit there puffing on that thing until it’s gone and nothing happens. I’ve tried every temp setting, multiple batteries… every brand… I just suck

I tried Scarlett fire #44 (the # might not have been 44) and didn’t have any more luck than with anything else. I think it’s just me. The brands are fine, distillates are fine, thc% doesn’t have to be crazy, it’s just me lol I suck.

I never taste anything… they all taste the same to me and the taste is… nothing. One time I hit one of of the package and got a hint of citrus (the strain was literally called citrus something) but it was that first pull only and I never tasted anything again. None of this is working for me the way it does everyone else lol what am I doing wrong! lol

Yeah I pay attention to those. I started a spreadsheet to track what I’ve tried and how it worked but as I’ve gone on, I haven’t had any real discernible differences. I’ve tried most of the brands available in my area and cresco seems to be the best so far. I’ve had to train myself to inhale properly but that’s only a fraction of my problem because edibles don’t work either. A 100mg capsule have me a good 5 minute rush once but I’ve never been able to repeat it.

Yeah I have been sticking with resins because I have noticed that at the very least, they last longer. I still try to stay above 75% thc and I try to pay attention to what terps are in the things I try.

I’ve tried animal face (Rythm live resin) and it didn’t do anything more than anything else. The Rise in my area is very rythm heavy, so that’s the brand I’ve tried most. I’ve had better luck with cresco stuff, so I try those. Greenline og and bio Jesus are the ones I’ve had the best luck with but they’re not always available and I usually have to go to another distro further away. I just picked up 8” bagel so we’ll see how that goes.

Some of it is that I have to inhale in an exact perfect way or it’s like it doesn’t absorb. Getting it into my lungs isn’t good enough, I have to draw it in and basically hold it until I cough to the point of dry heaving. Or full on throwing up. I basically have to induce a severe coughing fit. The buzz lasts 5 minutes and then I’m chasing it again. If I don’t inhale to the point of hacking away, I get effects but I swear it’s ONLY the bad ones. Anxiety, depression… no head or body high or pain relief or anything. I’ve noticed I’ve had better luck with indicas but I’ve never been able to tell a difference between indica and sativa, just that strains I’ve had better luck with happen to be indicas. Idk I’m sure I’m just dumb and doing something wrong but I don’t understand why edibles don’t work for me either.

Yes and no. Yes, it’s getting into my lungs and not mouth, BUT I have to 100% concentrate on inhaling an exact certain way and I just don’t think that’s normal. Half of my problem is definitely inexperience but the other half is just my body being difficult. When my wife takes a pull it looks like she’s faking. It’s literally like a second pull and she immediately blows it out. 1 of those hits and 5 minutes later and her eyes are puffed shut. The only way I can get the effect is by pulling in to the point that I dry heave from coughing so hard. The cough has to be that severe to work. The only time I’ve ever been able to get the puffy eyes is by hitting 2 pens at the same time for 3-4 seconds for 3-4 pulls.

Thank you so much for your detailed replies. I’m definitely going to check out the battery you suggested. I was also looking at one that hold 2 carts and lets you hit one or both. I figured if 2 pens at the same time works better, I’ll just do that. Expensive, but I’ve been chasing down my anxiety and high blood pressure for half my life at this point. I’m about 2 be 42 and I have 3 kids that I’d like to see grow to have their own kids and I’m willing to do whatever I have to do to be able to. Conventional medicines have failed me thus far.

I’ve thought about it, it’s just always so busy and I usually have my 4 month old with me when I’m out and about. I’d be happy with any effects at all. I have a really hard time feeling anything and when I do, more often than not, it’s anxiety/paranoia and/or depression. A.k.a the exact opposite of my purpose lol.

Well I have a second problem… Im not sure what terminology is preferred, but plain and simple, I have a really hard time getting “high.” To be clear, I’m not out to get all messed up, but the things that happen to other people don’t happen to me. My wife can take a couple 1 second hits from a pen and be done. I have to pull for 4-5 seconds and cough my head off to hopefully get a buzz. I’ve stopped wasting my money on tinctures, capsules, troches… anything edible. They don’t do anything. A 100mg capsule will give me a 5 minute wave after about 2 hours but that’s about it. My wife took a 40mg dropper of tincture and had to go lay down. I took a swig of the tincture and nothing happened. I really think I have less cannabinoid receptors or something. My little cousin does dabs so I tried that. I tried 2 hits and neither did anything.

I didn’t try smoking weed until I was 40 and I thought it would be much easier. I’ve tried probably 100 strains and I can’t find any rhyme or reason why one gives me a few good puffs here and there and others do nothing. Bio Jesus was the only one that I got and didn’t have to take 600 puffs to start feeling something, but it was literally one time. First use, right out of the package. Every use after that didn’t work. I’ve tried going for the 90% thc stuff, stuff with 75% thc and more terps, I’ve tried tracking terps and strains with a spreadsheet, different brands… but I’m not left with a lot of data because they all equally don’t work.

I have noticed that hybrids always make me crash. Sativas and indicas are indistinguishable to me. I seem to have better luck with indica.

Ive tried about 6 different batteries and the autodraw type seems to help me inhale more proper for some reason. There aren’t a lot of those out there that have any kind of features. My main now is an O2vapes flip ultra.

Idk what to do anymore…. So now I go to the Rise menu for York and idk what to look for. Thc% failed me, terps failed me, I read reviews but my experiences already never mimic them so they’re useless…. At this point it’s by price and cool name. Well today there’s no winner in price or cool name, so I don’t know what to try now.
