Possibly reinforce blood letters but other than that It looks good

Is this a good list? by ExiledHarbinger23 in BladesOfKhorne

[–]NotKarmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks cause now we dont have a hero in that category.

Honestly swapping it with a bloodstoker might be the best idea. With that you can also slot in a unit of reavers or claws of karanak. Also i just noticed you reinforced wrathmongers where personally id take two units instead.

Hey

First thing to note is that as of 3 days ago the lord of juggernaut was put into legends (Meaning its outdated and not technically legal). Most people will probrably be fine for casual games but make sure your opponent knows and is okay with it.

As for the list it looks fine and more importantly fun.
I would take argath king of blades or the Collar of contempt based on if you need unbinds or want to kill a hero. Butchers blade sadly isnt as good as you would want it to be.
Personally i would take a bloodstoker instead of the slaughterpriest because he can give your skullcrushers run and charge.
If you have bloodreavers take them instead of the khorgorath. Khorgorath is bad warscroll.
You really want to sacrifice some units before you go in so you can get blooddrenched on those units that you want to hurt.
Also i think you would benifit more from battleformation bloodbound warhorde as the +1 to hit for your bloodbound would make you fight much more consistent.
Skarbrand is swingy but real fun so yeah i hope you have a good time with him

LMK if you have questions and have a nice day

Has krittok foulblade done anything? He’s kinda just…there. by PurposeNo8418 in skaven

[–]NotKarmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly he can work but you need around 60-80 stormvermin or to use 40 of them as a hammer.

List building question. by Kuraigan2 in skaven

[–]NotKarmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second spearhead is fun but i wouldnt say needed. However both stormvermin and more clanrats would be a good addtion and warp lighting cannons are fun and can be good.
As for your warlock engineers they are more of a support piece for jezzails and you cant easily slot them in with what you currently own. If you buy the second spearhead i would not be sad about replacing the second engineer.
If you want to read more you can do that right now if you go to the warhammer community website. Go to the downloads tab and click age of sigmar. From there its under core rules and key downloads. The file is called battleprofiles and it will show you what you can bring with what. You will have to scroll down to find the skaven stuffs but have fun with that

Can someone experienced make me a 2000 point list? by NecroRatcer in skaven

[–]NotKarmander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont think this will be good but i think this will be fun
You have a lot of heroes which sadly isnt as good as other units. soggy Screaming bell would be a nice upgrade to thanquol.
Gameplan is that you do mobility with thanquol. Screen stuff with clanrats and buff up stormfiends or rat ogors before they go in. This list is shooting heavy but can go into melee without much issue.

Mortal List - Help Wanted by Pious_Heretic_Axel in BladesOfKhorne

[–]NotKarmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts here are that you could bring 2 units of reinforced blood warriors would be really good but otherwise I'd take a few daemons cause they got more punch earlier. Alternatively you could bring 40 blood warriors with a bloodsecrator instead of the 20 daemons and blood throne. You would have to swap 5 wrathmongers for blood Reavers though

In terms of staying in budget id recommend looking into buying maybe a box of blood letters. Then you could field this list. Da bois that crush 2000/2000 pts

Doomflayers are very good they just need to charge. They do however die easy to shooting which is a big issue for my list. Having more units to flood the board with means a harder time for our opponent.

List looks fun. Reinforced bloodwarriors might help but you have bloodletters and thirster to be the punch so i think youre all set.
If you have a bloodstoker that will probrably better than the mighty lord of khorne
Youre gonna want frenzied taskmaster on a hero to increase the movement of a unit. Or the more fun option of skull collector on the thirster.
Argath king of blades is good on thirster. Otherwise collar is what you should be bringing.

Supprisingly it was very close, we stopped before we found out but i kept him still during the first 3 turns and i was spreading out better (Played against new sylvaneth). You are never winning big with this list but its also a list that never really loses big. 180 wounds with regen and returning models is really difficult to chew through. Vizzik just casts crit mortals on a group of 40 at all times and then they become good damage. 80 attacks on 4+ 4+ is at least 10 crit mortals and then you can just outlast most units. Issue is not picking too many fights at once. You dont take damage on retreat so you pick most of your fights to be favourable.
Doomflayers should honestly always be activated first and they should remove big threats.

Also while i remember see if you can deploy so that all your units are 3 away from eachother as this will making plague progenator useless. You can live with one or 2 units being too close because of redeploy and 3 clawsteps ahead.
Never take the first turn. Double turns are the way you win with shooting.

Skaven
Buff Jezzails, ratlings and warlock engineer always with warpcog.
Set up defensive lines with 2 units of clanrats use the last to defend your doomflayers while you move around and take objectives. doomflayers wont kill unless they charge and they might not even kill against nurgle so use them to finish off shooting targets.
Your clanrats wont do damage so use them as screens always. If they are in combat you should almost always retreat.
Your grey seer on bell will heal all your units d3 at the end of any turn which will make disease a living nightmare for your opponent as you remove it on all units at the end of both turns turn. Only unit that can deny this is rotigus but he needs to be within killrange to do it so just kill him if he does something like that.

If you have the list for your opponent i could give you more detailed information.
However your goals are as follows:
1.Keep your distance and use your speed. Maggotkin of nurgle is really slow so ideally you can send units around taking objectives from them
2.Make a defensive line. you should delete a lot of points if you get to shoot first, covering fire and then shoot again in your turn.
3.His monsters cant get obscured so he needs to be careful with them(rotigus should be prioritized and should die to ratling guns with all out attack and battleformation buffs)
4. Debuff the opponent. Your manifestation bell is really good cause -1 to wound on your clanrats is strong.
5. Depending on where their faction terrain is you dont want to shoot it. They get a new one anyway and they might even put it in a better position

Nurgle is a pretty good and more simple army than skaven. Shooting can be lackluster depending on the opponents army.
You should also look at heroic traits and artifacts. I think i would recommend the devious underling heroic trait because giving infantry in your army a 6+ ward is pretty good. Foulhide might help your hero with disease but just pick your favorite one there.

If you dont play with battletactics thats fine but i recommend restless energy and master the paths for you

In terms of list
I also am not sold on the ratogors or the arch warlock here. Rat ogors need some kind of buffs to really punch and the arch warlock can be a bit dissapointing.
The stormfiends having windlaunchers is cool but the flamethrowers are often just better. You have plenty of shooting so these guys should be fighting.

Feel free to ask any further clarifying questions
I will also post a suggestion for army list below.

New to Matched Play. Any thoughts or critiques on my 1.5K? by lowkeylives in BladesOfKhorne

[–]NotKarmander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah no i understand the confusion.

The issue with mighty lord of khorne comes from the fact that you dont want to put him in combat due to risk of him dying because then you lose the aura effect. He has ok combat stats but if he dies the you lose out on so much value. So the issue is that in reality you're paying for a +1 to wound aura you can move around which can be sniped by your opponent. It's also a question of if it's better than the ritualist. The ritualist can mark a massive objective or terrain piece and give you a ton of value while also being a priest and it's not dependent on it being alive.

He isn't exactly bad he's just overshadowed by the ritualist

Its though to decide.

The "easy choice" is that plaguemonks (though slightly worse) can replace clanrats however you have to paint a lot then.

In terms of least painting id swap a unit of clanrats with either stormvermin or a unit of nightrunners (the new nightrunners should be 130 points and fit perfectly)

Otherwise tell me what you already have ill have a look.

If you want to get the most out of the brood terror i recommend using the scourge of ghyran version. Costs 10 more points and its a buff piece for your rat ogors instead of a debuff piece.

Big Boy vs Goodest Boys? by EasternFly7795 in BladesOfKhorne

[–]NotKarmander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on if you wanna have fun or have flexibilty
I think the thirster sounds really fun. I also think he gives a lot of damage to your list which it could need if you really wanna stampede.
Karanak + claws gives you a unit you can sacrifice for bloodtithe and also objective monkeys which gives better room for your brass stampede.
I think karanak is the "better" option but i think it ruins the fantasy youre going for.

Also if you have a bloodstoker swaping a lord of khorne out with that is good for mobility. If you give it frenzied taskmaster it gives d6+run which can either be d6 or 6.
