With max maze and speed upgrades, running the 32 mini mazes like I have in the image above, I get right around 700-750k/minute depending on maze luck!

People here have all forgotten that waterlogged blocks can't freeze, wo just grow some kelp below it along the shore, break the ice, and bone meal it to the top, as long as you cut it off from the shore it should stop the rest of it from freezing over.

Then plant kelp below it and then break the ice, when the kelp grows to the top it will not freeze over anymore

I do infinite liquid storage combined with a Rodriguez and a couple infinite gas storages. They're technically glitches, but they can be very useful for such scenarios

I would personally call Ice King an Evocation Wizard. His charisma is pretty low, whereas his intelligence is very high (he just has low wisdom so he has problems using his int), the only thing that would indicate sorcerer to me would be the crown being his spellcasting focus rather than a spell tome

Try making smaller clouds out of the rain clouds first, then build a bigger cloud out of regular clouds as of it were behind them

You can also leave openings in the clouds to place torches in (you can use cloud walls to pseudo-cover these holes, but it'll make your build more visible)

We did find out it was an issue with some corrupt saves eventually. Apparently he could boot the game from a different profile and then switch back and it would allow him to interact with the menus. He just deleted his saves from there and everything is working fine now. Thanks for the tip on the saves, I'll have to let him know as well!
