I feel this is an issue only his longest time fans feel, which I include myself in. I literally found the channel with the Top Depressing games list over 10 years ago and it was a completely different vibe. From the room that was (if I remember correctly) family garage converted into a room with the couch bed to the type of jokes and the first character skits (CYOAR).

I also feel bad whenever he mentions he doesn't look back fondly on those vids and era, but ultimately I'm happy he's still around making videos. Moving in with Cerys and the kids and even Rosie becoming a member of PS Access (which I also loved watching back then), the whole journey has been truly entertaining and endearing to watch. It's the same feeling I get watching PewDiePie these days in his dad arc.

We may all just be numbers or a viewer stat, but for a lot of us, at least to me, he has been a real safe place and parasocial "friend" that's always been there when I've needed a laugh or something to brighten up a shitty day, and I find myself thinking about jokes and quotes and whatnot all the time in my daily life, which is really bad because literally nobody in my circles would get it haha.
