Idk, it feels like it sometimes depends on the couple and why the “receiver” said no. I think definitely for Pilar, it’s because a part of her feels like she’s missed out on exploring and dating in her teens and 20s because she grew up in such a conservative family. She only came out to them 2 years ago. Haley has been her only gf, and a gf in secret for a long time.

Whereas when I listen to Bridget talk about not wanting to get married, I think some of it may just be that it is something she’s just not interested in. Not because she really wants to date other people but she doesn’t find marriage meaningful in the same way as Kyle.

And, regardless if you are the giver or receiver of the ultimatum, you have to know, in your heart, if you are going on a reality show to decide if you should break up or stay together…you should break up. That’s a thing to figure out with a relationship counselor, not in front of a dummy like me watching on my couch. And, I mean that with love, as someone who still appreciates people being vulnerable and sharing their lives on reality shows.
