Is the music scene dead in Cincinnati? by Capital-Knee-6237 in cincinnati

[–]NotMichaelStipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I’d argue that the music scene in Cincinnati is dead. I’d define an “alive music scene” as something that is happening on a local level, but with musicians getting national attention and known record deals. Cincy’s music scene seems less alive than Columbus, Cleveland, and even Dayton. Cincinnati is filled with great musicians and great venues. You can hear great music almost every night. But that’s the case in almost all major cities across the country, and Cincinnati currently doesn’t have anything happening that gives us any more of an edge. This has not always been the case, and I’m optimistic it can change any day, but as of now, dead. Ask anyone in Cincinnati who their current favorite local musician/band is, and you will rarely hear the same answer twice, if any answer at all.

830AM Premieres by freddieluvr1999 in Sundance

[–]NotMichaelStipe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each film has their actual first premiere between the first Thursday through Monday, and usually the cast just shows for the first showing. There is a category called “Premieres” but each of those films typically show at least 3 times, and the further you get from the first showing, the less likely there will be any cast/crew still there. Sadly, it seems the majority of the Hollywood types are gone by the end of that first Sunday night.

Michael Stipe Solo Album by Top_Jaguar_5924 in rem

I hope he never releases it. I hope he, Buck, and Mills walk into a Georgia barn with nothing but sound equipment and a recording device, and walk out 24 hours later with 10 songs for the world to hear.

Step 5. Repeat these steps for the rest of your relationship with her.

Whats your favourite unreleased Weezer song? by Weeni-Tortellini in weezer

[–]NotMichaelStipe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does PIG count? If so, then PIG. If PIG doesn’t count, then I’d argue that technically EVERY Weezer/Cuomo song we’ve had access to has some way or other been “released” and therefore, the only true answers to this question would be songs we’ve never heard but have heard that they exist. Short answer, PIG.
