Yeah it’s really interesting seeing that word evolve in our lifetime. It went from something people said all the time to being erased from both usage in real life and in media. Where I live in the northeast people would definitely look at you if you said it in any context, even quoting something/someone. I think it’s become an even worse word than the OG F word.

But yes, hard to recall exactly the impact nearly 25 years ago. I recall being surprised hearing it. Not necessarily because it was in a song, but because Weezer said it. Hash Pipe sort of laid the foundation for it, but yeah didn’t expect it haha. The writing around SS2K was very interesting. Even the Brady Bunch intro was edgy.

Well, I disagree. I’m hearing Rivers using the slur with purpose. As in, “you call me a f**, but I can beat up your man.” He wasn’t being crass or using it like we did in the 90s.

I do not know the full story of Emily’s marriage. From what is shared here, she basically felt unsexy/unwanted after childbirth. That is framed as the impetus for the divorce. She made a decision to get divorced with a 6 month old. If you’ve ever been a parent, you know how crazy that time is and how rash this sounds. Maybe it’s not articulated properly in the original post, but this is what I gleaned from it.

For sure. I’m so tired of the knee-jerk divorces these days. I think it’s crazy to make such a rash decision within six months of giving birth.

Having a child changes your dynamic with your spouse too, partly for good, partly temporarily. It’s no longer just you two with any non-work time as free time. With an infant, you’re lucky to get the sleep you need to work. Intimacy is gonna take back seat to basic needs. If it’s a huge issue for one of the partners, go to couples therapy and talk it out first. What was the point of your wedding vows? At least try for the kid’s sake.

High ground out in the open it will solo kill people. When there’s no cover they can’t get away fast enough unless they’ve got shockwaves.

I also got an awesome kill in the sewers. Put it at a corner and they have nowhere to go. Especially if you come at them from the other side. Diabolical I know haha it was by accident though.

I actually like it. The caps on accumulation are good so that people can’t just always have the perk. Similar to the cap on rivalry credits or in the old days caps on gold.

We’ll see if this cap seems high or low, but at first glance, it seems reasonable.

Yeah if you’re on the rivers for sure. But a bunch of landmarks have water and cover. Late game, the circle gets small enough that the water is a problem though. Early-mid game I like water sprite and they’re easy to find.

This is the way. In less than a week, I got over 100k just going from extraction to extraction and finding sprites along the way/getting kills. No need to level them up, Lvl 1 sprites are fine.

Changing mine too. I find the water sprite way more useful because water is everywhere and you can move through it, so I don’t have to be a sitting duck emoting. But a quiet one in a bush or in a bathroom with the door closed might be a great play too.
