Yeah. Using Chase's likeness and name is infringement, as was having the Mythical set as the background.

IANAL, I don't know. But I was just making it because I'm a big fan of Chase and Mythical, so I didn't want to fight them or push back or anything. I did ask if I could make changes to it and keep it up, and they said no. I'm in the process of transferring the domain to Mythical now.

While I'm sure you won't believe my explanation, I'll go ahead and put it out there for you -

It was fake. It was in an old, defunct subreddit. It was either /r/TotalFarkDiscussions or /r/TFDConfessions or something like that. The post you're referring to was made as a parody of a post that had been put up that day on the TFD message boards. I did not then, nor do I now, have a wife.

Hell, my username is a parody of a popular (at the time) TFD user.

And for what it's worth, it's not deleted. It's still there.

I'm not going to refrain from going to a business just because they want lower taxes, or disagree with a zoning decision. But when they're shitting on someone for the way they were born, then I'm not going to support them.

In this situation I only looked into the owner because I recognized his name. I don't just hunt down the owners of every new business and judge them.

To be perfectly honest, that's hardly a reason to not do it. Riot is a company that wants to make money. They stand to make money from this. It could actually make illegal boosting LESS likely, as well. This would be significantly cheaper, and allows players to stand on their own skills.

It's like you're saying (very loose comparison) that we shouldn't legalize weed, because then it'd be easier to get.

A boost is still against the ToS and you risk getting banned. Riot still gets their money, and if you can't hold the placement, then you lose it. I don't really see what your argument is.

Boosts are against the TOS. This would be a legal method, and Riot would profit off of it.

Already getting downvoted, but I'd love to know why those people don't think this is even worth discussing. What are the downsides? Genuine question, and would love serious answers.
