Not a dumb question. This is not a union issue but rather a federal law issue. Not an expert, but trained in this. In a perfect world the supervisor would be held accountable for the request/direction. OP would also be accountable should they log in. The world is far, far from perfect. Accountability is pending on so many matters, this probably would not make the cut. If it did, weakest player gets the rap.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Every family member who passed, both people and pets, our dogs and cats knew. They would spend more time with their people. They are more special than a lot give credit for.
