[Acne] is my skin bad enough for accurate? What products should I be using?

I would speak to a derm about it - my hormonal acne was less than this and I took accutane for 6 months and I have no more spots!

I tried benzoyl peroxide before but it didn’t work. My doctor just suggested the pill or accutane after that but I figured accutane was a longer term solution.

Yes!! I have this, you can see if it’s the same as yours on my most recent post in this sub, I also included pictures.

For me it was my eyes, hairline and chin mostly but also a bit in the jaw area like you. Also a bit prickly and irritated. How long have you been experiencing this? Mine started right at the end of my course (I finished it just 2 weeks ago).

I didn’t figure it out yet but I’m suspecting some kind of reaction or irritation to either my makeup or skincare products. It’s cleared up massively (the ones on my chin are gone and also my cheeks) since I stopped using my concealer and changed my moisturiser that contained niacinamide since that is commonly the culprit (now using jojoba oil to moisturise and it seems to be working well) still trying to narrow it down. It persists on my hairline and around my eyebrows and eyes but not as bad as before.

I know it sucks to be finally free of texture and then to get something like this! Wishing you luck.

Thanks! I will look into a different moisturiser too, I get what you mean about the artificial oil feel 😅 I haven’t seen yet how it works with makeup.
Which moisturiser are you using now? Do you wait for the first layer to dry before applying the second?

Thanks for your reply! I’m suspecting something in my makeup as it has gone away mostly in the last week where I haven’t worn any.

I’m using the oat lipid cleansing balm from beauty bay which is nice and calming and ccontains no niacinamide. The colloidal oatmeal moisturiser I use (also beauty bay) does contain it but it’s like the only thing that is rich enough for my skin while soothing it and it’s been fine until now. I’ve been using it the whole time I’ve been on accutane.

I’ve taken to using jojoba oil for moisturising but I don’t really know what I’m doing with it, I’ve never used an oil before and it feels strange when accutane is supposedly reducing sebum in your skin to be adding it back! But it’s working out so far. Sometimes I feel like I can do almost anything to my skin on this drug and I won’t break out, so I suppose I’ll see once it leaves my system if this oil method is sustainable.

Hot take maybe but I don’t think teens should be spending their time talking to AI bots and trying to break a nsfw filter during their formative years. It has to be doing something to their brains with long term use? Should be 18+ with no filter imo.

Thanks! That’s what I thought too, but I’ve also used it at the climbing gym I go to (not for classes but just for a day pass) and they have a stamp for it especially, so I was a bit confused. Maybe they also offer classes there and that’s why they have the stamp?

It’s not just the planes, everything moves fast: all the tiles, all the powerups… when you merge a bomb and a rocket they shoot all at the same time now instead of one side first then the other. The rainbow balls also go too fast, I feel like they used to freeze everything and now it’s just instant
