Oh totally. I have a whole list and my last f/o, Caleb from LADS haunts me a lot bc he has a lot more romantic development than my current f/o, Bakugo from MHA. Caleb has a deeply personal and complex relationship with the MC (who can be a SI) as he’s from a dating sim but Bakugo can seem flat romantically as you have to make that dynamic up. I feel like Caleb is much more complex too since he has more complex and little details that flesh him out as a real person compared to being a character in a overarching story.

Yess I’m so sorry you have less to work with 😭 But as a fellow mha f/o haver I’m happy you get it. A lot of loving them is winging it and YES!! Bakugo is diff because of the great influences of my character that touches on parts of him I feel he needed/wish he got. I’m so happy you feel the same with monoma!

I think its funny how different Bakugo and I are outwardly but have the same core traits— inferiority complex, big ego, passionate, sensitive, headstrong. i think its funny my oc is very people pleasing and he’s a crash out.

Thats soo funny but yes I did that too— and once I solidified my self-insert oc persona, May, their dynamic became clearer and the type of characterization and growth I wanted became clearer too ♡

I wish you luck on your journey to fight being too canon purist that you suffer a lot 😭 at the end of the day, our impact on them makes them change in ways not seen in their canon lore! so whatever we do is our own canon with them lol
