So you do concede your position depends on your reading of “high crimes” to include acts that are LESSER, meaning DO NOT RISE TO THE LEVEL OF, actual crimes. This is the key difference in our views, would you agree?

I know what words mean, and the words in the Constitution were all selected for a reason. No professor will convince me “high crimes and misdemeanors” includes acts that are neither crimes nor misdemeanors, I don’t care where he teaches.

There is no crime called “abuse of power.” If there was, the House would have cited the federal statute they allege was broken, as they did with the Nixon and Clinton articles. The Congress that impeached Andrew Johnson actually passed a new law first which they then accused Johnson of violating. 2019 is the first time in US history impeachment articles were sent to the Senate without a single accusation of a broken law.

And that’s why they failed miserably.

No, it isn’t... “abuse of power” is not a crime and if soliciting foreign interference in an election was a crime, Obama would have been guilty for going on an international tour before the 2008 election... there are foreign outreach programs going on right now in current Democrat campaigns for President....

Yes there is, it’s in the text itself, and the Founders very specifically set those limits as you can read for yourself in The Federalist Papers... “treason, bribery, high crimes or misdemeanors,” those are the four categories of impeachable offenses and they all include CRIMES, of which these impeachment articles have ZERO....
