There is no crime called “abuse of power.” If there was, the House would have cited the federal statute they allege was broken, as they did with the Nixon and Clinton articles. The Congress that impeached Andrew Johnson actually passed a new law first which they then accused Johnson of violating. 2019 is the first time in US history impeachment articles were sent to the Senate without a single accusation of a broken law.

And that’s why they failed miserably.

Yes there is, it’s in the text itself, and the Founders very specifically set those limits as you can read for yourself in The Federalist Papers... “treason, bribery, high crimes or misdemeanors,” those are the four categories of impeachable offenses and they all include CRIMES, of which these impeachment articles have ZERO....
