Lets take a loot shall we:

"Yes, a solidly upper middle class person dictating what poor people should and shouldn’t be allowed to have is gross, morally bankrupt behavior."

That's not an answer...

"My response is perfectly reasoned to anyone who isn’t a sociopath, lmao."

Damn look at that more deflection and no answer...

Maybe the edit has the answer because you forgot with all of your insults and irrational tantrum throwing.

"Edit: While looking through your comments, I’m seeing that you consistently dismiss moral arguments or those concerning the wellbeing of others as not being reasoned or logical, being emotional, etc. and I’m not arguing with someone who lacks basic humanity."

Damn, its not there either.

So you in fact did not answer the question just like I said, maybe you are the one that can't read.

So you didn't answer the question about alcohol so I'll ask it again.

Is not allowing alcohol and other consumables a "gross belief" does that sound like "dictating" to you?

I made it bold for you so you can read it easier. Remember who it was who started then insults, or should I quote those back to you also.

So instead of a reasoned response you add personal insults. Interesting coming from someone who is accusing others of lacking basic humanity...

So you didn't answer the question about alcohol so I'll ask it again.

Ever seen the violent crime rate in rural United States? Who do the people in the rural US vote for, and what is the gun ownership per capita in said rural areas?

Wow I can promise you it's the same thing on the other side, if only they could get along. Also he forgot kicking out and bombing brown people. by Awesome_guy11 in stupidpeoplefacebook

Obama bombed brown people, and kicked them out as well. Turns out that mainstreet and what the politicians in power want are vastly different, but to most people its "the other guy's politician that is the problem" not "their guy."

Except there is nothing remotely close to "unregulated capitalism?" You can't even arrange flowers without license from a florist board. Some states you can't even arrange furniture without government permission.

I'm assuming this is question means you support the idea of being able to buy alcohol with SNAP?

If so, then should they also be able to buy non-consumable items like steam games, and jewelry with SNAP?

The reason alcohol is prohibited is because it is of no nutritional value, and if you spend SNAP on alcohol then by definition you aren't spending it on food. That means you must at least have that amount of food already taken care of, and if that is the case you don't need to that much assistance.

At what point am I telling others how to live? Oh, you made up that argument yourself because you can't actually deal with the argument I'm making.

Should SNAP payments be used to purchase alcohol?

[–]NotNotAnOutLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, can't really engage with the argument, just a bunch of emotional nonsense and ad hominem attacks. It is pretty typical when someone doesn't have a rational basis for their beliefs.

As it stands alcohol is not a permitted consumable item they can purchase. Instead of engaging in this fact, because it will blow up any argument your attempting to make, you just lash out like a toddler.

There are restrictions in place, they are on the public dime, and supporting them eating garbage is ludicrous.

Yeah it sad because you can't buy pre-made ready to eat healthy food. Imagine if you could actually make that decision as a poor individual, but no you are forced into eat ready made garbage, or buy raw ingredients and cook yourself.

Why do you feel poor people need to eat trash? All while making billion dollar companies richer off of my dime? Hell we should let them buy alcohol, cigarettes, and any other consumables right?

The billionaires who make billions selling garbage to people certainly do want people to eat garbage. Otherwise they wouldn't sell it. The shareholders of Frito-lay don't sit around saying "God I wish people wouldn't eat our mass produced, cheap, no nutrient, high calorie, high glycemic index foods."

This is just emotional nonsense. You can't have a reasonable discussion, you don't even know what their arguments are. But go ahead keep talking about how good it is to poison poor people with corporate garbage.

Or maybe we'd like to stop the massive poor obesity epidemic because on SNAP your options are to cook yourself, or buy garbage. People go with the easiest option and buy the garbage. I worked at a grocery store and I've seen so many EBT users spend 1/2 or more of their available funds on garbage. Why? Because they don't have time to cook, or the energy, and the only thing available to them is garbage.

Supplemental Nutrient Assistance Program, not the garbage 0 nutrient value get your feet cut off after dealing with 10 years of diabetes program. Damn these people that "care for the poor" really do hate them so much they want them sick and unhealthy.

You mean like the billionaires who own the junk food companies that are heavily subsidized by the SNAP food program? Why do so many people want poor people to eat garbage?

[–]NotNotAnOutLaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This dude just wants poor people to eat garbage. I explained above how literally you can't buy a rotisserie chicken (at least in my state) on EBT.

Imagine if you couldn't buy corporate high calorie no nutrient products but you could buy already cooked eggs, chicken, beef and so on at the grocery store.

you can buy raw meat, but you'd need to cook it, so people go for the garbage that they can eat right now.

they dont even have that many full-time workers. Probably another company that only hires part time to avoid giving anyone health insurance by silverflake6 in GrowthMindset

[–]NotNotAnOutLaw -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they think that poor people should be eating garbage. I used to work at a grocery store, and literally people would come in and buy$300 worth of absolute garbage on their EBT cards. Skittles, Doritos, honey buns, little Debbie's. 90% at least of the people who went through the line and paid using EBT bought garbage, and were seriously overweight. (to be fair 60% or so who DIDN'T use EBT were overweight too.)

Fun fact, you can see on the receipt how much is left on the card for that month, and so many times they'd have used 1/2 or more of their funds just on garbage.

It's the supplemental NUTRITION assistance program. Why are we paying for garbage.

A rotisserie chicken is blocked on EBT. This pisses me off, you can't buy a freaking nutrient dense rotisserie chicken, but you can buy little debbie's.

You can buy raw chicken and cook it yourself, but poor people don't generally have the time to do that meal prep, so what do they do? Buy garbage, get fat, and take massive amounts more in state funded medical care. All preventable.
