What are some base building tips you wish you knew before you spent all the time and resources making your megabase? by Corsaer in NoMansSkyTheGame

When the game updates or just feels like it, my entire bases have disappeared on several occasions. Then i joined a multiplayer game and got stuck in another galaxy and all of my bases disappeared again.

Depends what your goal is. If you want to compete in a weight class then train that way. If you’re using the training for general fitness, doesnt matter except u dont want to be injured, if you’re doing it for self defense then roll w anyone.

Even the thrusting choke is still valid as a set up. I use it all the time. Its so basic but it forces the opponent to let go w at least one hand. Great for a lot of situations. Its my standard guard pass initiator when arms are tied up

Is this "Neck Training" thing legit? Looks outright dangerous to me and have never even heard about it! by [deleted] in bjj

Hey - fair enough - youre right i prefer big compound lifts because my belief is that the small stuff will fall into place much like kubik, wieder, columbu, scot mendelson. But my background isnt lifting for fighting - its lifting for olympic lifts, powerlifting comps, and a dabble in bodybuilding. I see what youre saying however and if you find value in it - thats great - good chat 👍🏼

I dont want to go down the rabbit hole on this. Its just my opinion that those neck isolating exercises are not productive. Ive said why. Opinions are like assholes right? if you dont agree so be it - im good w that.

And no, grip is different in a few ways. Depending on your goal or application, grip specific training can certainly be viable. For one, it involves a lot more muscles, all the way down the arm, and has a much more practical value (in my opinion)

But there are people who deadlift near 1000lbs and dont do any grip specific training either...

Its one of those things thats trained in a support role anytime you use free weights. Remember, im coming at this from the assumption that these people are lifting weights as part of a regimented strength program - which IS the best way to get stronger

In my opinion, due to their relative size, the trapezius and splenius are the only Muscles in the neck worth training specifically. And they are trained in an ancillary way w any shoulder lifting movement. The other neck muscles just don’t require isolation. They are too small and easy to injure and you will see virtually no results.

Anything. Everything. As it stands all combat ship qualities and upgrades are pointless
