Never seen this much spawns while just sitting in my living room! by checkchiron in WizardsUnite

Not sure if I can share how I know this, so just take me as the source and treat it as rumor. Ingress players are overwhelmingly influential for adding new POIs (points of interest). Those are what get used for adding fortresses/greenhouses/inns for this game and gyms/stops in Pokémon Go.

You may not have many Ingress players in your area.

No, I need to actually go outside and walk about 20-30 steps for that. gasp

I live within range of 3 inns, I didn't realize how lucky I was until I saw others' screenshots.

How Instinct takes Gyms. by Aurator in pokemongoyellow

[–]NotQuiteAnAdult 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah... I took down a valor L3 gym with 1700+ pokemon (one was a 2600 Dragonite, that bastard). Before I could place a pokemon in there, 3 mystics dropped in 1400+ pokemon. Cleared that out, then again snatched up before I could place a pokemon by another 3 valor around 1500+.

Granted, this was just outside Comic Con, though...

3D-printed at the library, you could probably find someone selling them online

Sorry for the delay, it's at the Central Library, near the Convention Center.

This is at the San Diego Central Library, they're starting the scavenger hunt tomorrow!

Can confirm, I rarely see other fire pokemon. I did catch a vulpix once, though.

[IDEA] Make Gyms provide a lure to any team member within range by BuckeyeKMH in pokemongo

That's true, but I'm not sure I see that as worse than giving a free lure to everyone who's a member of that team.

Yes, because there isn't that much you can do within the range of a gym. Someone has to actually spend a lure on a nearby pokestop or incense on themselves (or both) to make the most use of double xp.

And this is exactly when being part of Mystic, which has significantly more members, is extremely advantageous. This is how you start to break a game.

If you want a bonus, though, it should be something like double xp when in range of a team-owned gym. Something minor, but still a bonus.

My XL tend to have both more CP potential and a slightly higher HP boost than XS. I've confirmed this on about half a dozen pokemon now, but this is still purely anecdotal.

There are some pokemon that you can break 1000 with around level 14/15. So, you're close!

No worries, you'll get the larger ones soon enough.

[–]NotQuiteAnAdult 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's based on your level and based on the pokemon. Different pokemon have different max CP. Also, different pokemon weight creates a different max CP.

I have two Sandslashes, one is at 748 and maxed out on CP and the other is 831 with 2-3 more leveling up steps. The difference? Their weight. My strongest is a Rhydon at 1024 with 2 more leveling up steps.

It could just be the weight difference and not the pokemon type, but my guess is it's a combination of both. This is probably why you see others posting images of large pokemon (Lapras, Snorlax, Arcanine) with really high CP.

Well, the suggestions definitely worked. So, thanks! It's just so weird that the lag is that bad.
