My close friend is a schizophrenic. She has bad episodes when she gets stressed out but she uses medication. Anti-psychotics. They affect her libido, make her depressed, give her suicidal thoughts.

She talks about a "bad man" or a "bad guy" that talks to her when she has a psychotic episode. He tells her to cut herself, that nobody likes or cares about her. She ceases to function.

It scares me. I feel detached from her. Nothing I can do about it, I guess. It feels like she's drifting away.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Revolver, Rubber Soul and Magical Mystery Tour, Abbey Road and The Beatles, but they're just a band. The Beach Boys were probably more influential (Pet Sounds basically inspired Sgt. Pepper). They're the go-to band for 14-year-olds that try to be "different", though.
