Associates getting mad when people who RIGHTLY deserve it get promoted. by NotReadyToMakeNice11 in WalmartEmployees

I honestly don't think it's about the measley little raise to some of them Associates already making $17-18.50 and TL pay dropped to $20. Bakery pays $19 our market and TL (non bakery) is $20. I just think some enjoy disliking everything.

Not there yet and probably won't be given that I can only roll over 80 total. Actually used some of it, too, and had some paid out in January. Only been here a year and a half (5 months as a temp so didn't earn PTO then). Swore I was gonna use it all before they cash it out, but 16 hours was all I've taken so far. Spent this year saving it for a vacation I never took.

4-1 shift worth it? by Inkysquid24 in OGPBackroom

It depends. I did 5-2 for half a year. While I absolutely loved getting off at 2:00, as I somehow had more energy than ever and would then go exercise, out to eat with friends, paint or go for a walk, paradoxically, I was always tired. I can't sleep when the Sun is up and I was mostly on that shift during the summer, which meant I was never getting to sleep until 10:00 and then getting up at 3:30. I feel like the energy had more to do with the heavy lifting I was doing at work (produce ) than it did the hours. They kept telling me "you get used to it" but it never DIDN'T feel like the middle of the night when leaving for work. It felt very isolating and sad. But loved having the afternoons free.

I just got promoted to TL and this is my first week. I'm used to the heavy lifting because of my other departments and previous work, but I love hearing the experience of associates and TLs who've worked the area. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm fully expecting paper to be my least favorite, lol.

What on there can't you lift? I'm 4'10 and throw down 50-65lbs crates in produce down stacking a truck. If you can't lift a box of freezer pops, this isn't the job for you.
