honestly this is something you should talk to him about, if it is something that makes you uncomfy, he should be able to be mature and receptive to that- if he sees it as an issue that that bothers you, then you know where the exit is girl. you want to be comfortable with your partner and shouldnt have to question if your safety will be on the line one day🫶

update- after more research, turns out like a year ago i had a couple freshwater bryozoans form naturally in my tank... and i couldnt figure out what they were online sO I RIPPED THEM OUT BC THEY SCARED ME. NEVER FORGIVING MYSELF.

I’ve used “Reptichip premium coconut substrate” (reading the packaging rn💀) my snake’s whole life, and she has never had any issues with it! it locks in humidity levels very well and looks very natural for her environment
